Susan Hoover, Burt, Is Married September 3 Algona, (la.) Upper Des Molne* Timday, Sept. 20, 1966 assisting. Seventeen members and two guests were present, Mrs. Henry Geilenfeld and Mrs. Batt. Mrs. Milo Daley read a paper on the Blue Star Memorial Highway. Cancer Meeting Here Sept. 30 Representatives from 13 north central Iowa county chapters of the American Cancer Society are expected in Algona, Friday, Sept. 30, for a one-day orientation conference. Mrs. Theodore Hoover, Jr.',' Titonka, chairman of the South Kossuth County Chapter announced that the meeting will start with registration at 9:30a. m. at the Algona Country Club. An accelerated program on six common sites of cancer will be introduced as the day's feature. Counties included will be Calhoun, Dickinson, Emmet, Han- ^ cock, Humboldt, North and South Kossuth, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Webster, Winnebago, Worth and > Wright. The Titonka Methodist church was the setting of 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept . 3, marriage, in a candlelight ceremony, of Susan Anne Hoover, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn E. Hoover of Burt, to Michael Paul Keintz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul M. Keintz of Benson, Minn. Rev. Paul Hansen officiated at the double ring ceremony in the presence of relatives and guests. Mrs. Vaughn Rising presided at the organ. Walter E. Moe cousin of the bride, sang. Mrs. Larry Glen was matron of honor. Linda Keintz, sister of the groom, and Barbara Anderson, college roommate of the bride, were bridesmaids. Serving as best man was Robert Christensen, groomsmen were David Hoover, brother of the bride, and Kevin Hoover, uncle of the bride. Ushers were Gary Hoffman and Lee Theisfeld. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown of champagne imported Chantilly lace and silk peau de sole with lillypoint sleeves. Motifs of the lace accented the bell shaped skirt and the detachable chapel-length court train. Her shoulder-length silk illusion veil was attached to a crystal crown. She"carried a cascade bouquet of stephanotis, pink roses and ivy. The reception was held in the church parlors. Mrs. Thomas Young and Mrs Dale Struthers poured coffee; Mrs. Amand Dangelser and Mrs. Ted Hoover Jr. served cake; waitresses were Sandra Hoover and Jane Buffington; Mrs. Gary Hoffman poured punch; Mrs. Gary Hoover, Mrs. Roger Hoover and Mrs. Gary Alberts opened the gifts; gift pages were Terry Hoover and Conna Hoover, cousins of the bride. Mrs. Edwin Benedict, aunt of the bride, registered the guests. Hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Louis C. Hansen. After a wedding trip to Minnesota, the couple will live_ in Mankato, Minn.
