years A graduate of Bowdoin College he was recently awarded a master of music degree by the Yale School of Music He has played in the New Haven Symphony Orchestra New Hampshire Music Festival Orchestra and is first bassoonist with the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra In the summer of 1962 he served as assistant conductor of the Yale Band during its tour of Europe Young has studied bassoon with Harold Goltzer of the New York Philharmonic and Bernard Garfield of the Philadelphia Orchestra George Schermerhorn horn graduated from Hartwick College and holds a degree of master of music from the
