Upper DM Moines Tuesday, Sept. 20, 1966 Seneca Visitor Returns Home SENECA - Karen Rubiano returned to her home in Romney, West Virginia, after spending the summer with her grandmother, Mrs. Nina Kracht and Linda Sue. They took her home' over the Labor Day weekend. Karen won a talent contest with a dance number at the Golden Gaslight Theatre at Okoboji recently and received a transistor radio as a prize. Union 4-H Union Boy's 4-H meeting was held Sept. 13 at the Civic Center. Leslie Richter, Dick Leigh, Mike Nitchals and Ferris Fett gave talks on the selection of hogs, sheep, beef and horses. Kiilsholms and Fetts were hosts. New Member Joins Staff Of Burt Firm BURT - Beginning Sept. 16 Roberta Ackerman will be assisting at Thelma's School of Beauty in Burt. Miss Ackerman, daughter of Mrs. Muriel Ackerman and the late Hiram Ackerman, is a recent graduate from the Mason City School of Cosmetology. - o- Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Pettis are enjoying a week's vacation from their duties at Red's Motor Shop and the Burt Cooperative Elevator. They are spending the week near Ortonville, Minn., and Huron, S. D. Mrs. George Ackert, St. Paul, is spending this week with Mr. and Mrs. Carol Reynolds. Mr, and Mrs. Eugene Larson are parents of a baby daughter born Sept. 7.
