He weighed 6_ lbs, and hasbeen named Jeremy Eugene. He has one brother, Scottyto welcome him. The mother is the former Pat Bos who had operated a beauty shop in Hospers. Pat Is the sister of Mrs. Allen Schoonhoven of Hospers. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Ten Napel of Ireton welcomed a daughter, Sherl Lynn, into their home on Dec. 16. She tipped the scales at 8 Ibs. 8-3/4 oz. and her mother Is the former Glenda Groen. * Local Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rowenhorst drove to Alcester, South Dakota on Sunday afternoon to make the acquaintance of ther new great-granddaughter, Angela, daughter of the Larry Ver Steeg's. Mr. and Mrs. Al Kroese and family from Boyden were Sunday evening after church callers in the Clifford Moss home. Private and Mrs. JoeHannel from Omaha were callers on Sunday in the home of Mrs. Bert Menning. Mr. and Mrs. Abe Schle- bout, Nolan and Denlse and Mr. and Mrs. Firman Scnte- bout from LaCrosse, Wisconsin will be guests In the Ben Sehlebout home at Newklrk on Christmas i afternoon. That evening they will be guests at the Kenneth Roos ho.me at • Sheldon. Mr. and Mrs. Randy Roos from Iowa City spent the weekend visiting, in the parental homes of Allen Roos and Orvllle Oolman. The family of Mrs. Ella Mulder had their Christmas party on Saturday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Vogel. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Menning and family from Brookings will be spending Christmas weekend at the home of Mrs. Bert Menning. Mrs. J ( . C. Gleysteen will leave on Friday to spend Christmas Day with the John Gleysteen family in Sioux City. Dr. and Mrs. Peter Pals and daughter will be enjoying Christmas Dinner *!*•.»*• and Mrs. William Pals at Sibley. > A Christmas party was held on Friday evening at the Herman Oolman home. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs, Martin Kuiken , from Sioux Center, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mullenburg, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Ver Steeg and Mrs. Henry Kramer.Unable to attend were Mr. and Mrs. John Vink from Sheldon. Dr. and Mrs. Duane Pause from Holsteln were here last Sunday visiting in the Ed Peuse home, Willem Van Harselaarfrom the Netherlands Is spending 5 weeks In the home of his sister, Mrs. Gt. Bronkhorst. Shirley Raak, a student of the University of So. Dak. arrived home Friday, Her sister, Judy, of Washington D.C. will arrive home this Friday to spend the Christmas holidays in the Martin Raak home. Merry Ctrl tnc «l Sandi Van Es bride of Dave Sandbulte Miss Sandi Van Es, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Van Es of Orange City and Mr. Dave Sandbulte, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sandbulte of Luverne, Minn..were united in marriage Nov. 27, 2:00 P.M. at the First Reformed Church in Orange City, The Rev. A, Elssens officiated at the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with blue mums and a unity candle. The bride entered the church to the traditional wedding march escorted by her father. She wore a toe length gown of beige polyester knit and a matching headpiece trimmed with sequins. The bride carried a bouquet of white carnations and steph- onitis. Attending the bride was Miss Kathy Roenfeld of Jackson, Minn!, a friend of the bride. She wore a green polyester crepe and carried a large blue mum, wearing a flower baret in her hair. The groom was attended by his brother Don. Jerry Van Es, brother of the bride ushered the guests. Mrs. Ken Sandbulte provided the music and accompanied Bob Van Es, brother of the bride, at the close of the service as he sang "The Wedding Prayer". Miss Barb De Haan was the bride's personal attendant and also registered the guests. Following the ceremony a reception was held In the church basement. Ella Mae Vander Grlend and Wes Huts- man presided at the punch bowl. Mrs. Jerry Van Es and Mrs. Bob Van Es poured at the buffet table. Waitresses were Miss Mary and Bare Van Leewen and Miss Jean Dykstra.
