Such bid security shall be forfeited to the municipality as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder falls or refuses to enter into a contract within 10 days after the award of contract and post bond satisfactory to the municipality insuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract and the maintenance of said work, if required, pursuant to the provisions of this notice and the other contract documents. The municipality will accept bid bond forms heretofore approved by the State Highway Commission and/or the United States Government. The construction work whall be commenced within fifteen (15) days after the Engineer's notice to proceed, and shall be completed on or before the 15th day of January, 1972.
