Earnings Up 25 Per Cent OMAHA — Pamida, Inc., Omaha based owner and operator of Gibson Discount Centers, reported net earnings of $1,482,000 and $3,613,000 for three and nine month periods which ended Oct. 31, 1972, representing increases to 25.8 per cent and 25.9 per cent over the comparable periods last year. Earnings per share rose from 13 cents to 16 cents for the three months and from 33 cents to 40 cents for the nine-month period. The company said that in the fourth quarter ending Jan. 31, 1973, Pamida will open 13 new large stores in buildings of 35,000 to 40,000 square feet. Five of these 13 stores will be in new communities while eight will reflect the relocation of existing stores.
