C'ty To Annex Fort Harrison INDIANAPOLIS (UPD The Department of the Army Thurs day gave permission to the City of Lawrence northeast of here to annex the sprawling Ft. I Benjamin Harrison military' reservation. Lawrence started annexation action last year, but it wos blocked by a remonstrance the government filed to give the Army time to consider the pos sible impact.

Col. James R. Burkhart, Ft. Harrison commander, relayed the word to Lawrence Mayor Morris Settles. He said the Justice Department would wain draw the remonstrance on file in Marion County Circuit Court.

Burkhart said the annexation help to establish even closer ties between the military and civilian which he said had enjoyed a Why not ask the government amj friondly to help make some other means of employment as I understand Crane just makes war material. Richards said the new substation Vi 11 enable young men and women living in Greene County to receive up to-the-mln ute counseling on the opportunities available in the Army. Sgt.
