William Cothren. Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Rapier Dawson and Mr. and Mrs.

Macon Cothren of Paragould, Ark. Miss Paula Dawson was her maid of honor. Attendants were Miss Judy Garlow of San Diego, Miss Marianna Patton and Mrs. Raburn Williams of Chicago; Mrs. John C.

D. Drolla and Mrs. Hallie Pinson Rutherford. Marcella Butte Dawson was flower girl. Melvin A.

Krenek served as best man. Groomsmen were Donald E. Miller, Frank Duperier, M. E. Allison Rapier Dawson Jr.

of Houston and Greg Cothren of Paragould. Ark. Ushering were Schreiner Nelson, John Canavan and B. M. Froelick of Dallas.

After a reception held in the San Antonio Country Club, Mr, and Mrs. Cothren departed for a honeymoon trip to New Orleans and Jamaica. Jasso-P uente Holy Family Catholic Church was the setting of the marriage Saturday of Miss Mary Helen Puente and Cpl. Reynaldo R. Jasso.

The Rev. Albert F. Nobels officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Arnold Puente, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs, Epigmenio Jasso. Mrs. Roy Barrera was matron of honor, and maids of honor were Miss Linda Puente, sister of the bride, and Miss Carmen Ochoa. Attendants were Mrs.

Jesse Puente, Misses Esperanza Fuentes, Rose Elma Guerrero and Rose Marie Schaedel. Flower girls were Jo Ann Acosta and Betty Jean Jasso. Roy Barrera was best man and groomsmen were Jesse Puente, Lt. Gilbert Jasso, Edward Menchaco and Arnold Puente. Eddie Puente was ring bearer.

A reception was held in San Fernando's gymnasium. After a wedding trip to Mexico City, the couple will live in Twentynine Palms, Calif. Day-Crigsby Concordia Lutheran Church was the scene of the marriage Saturday of Miss Reva M. Grigsby and Dwain Larry Day. The Rev.

Guido A. Merkens officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A.

Grigsby, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr, and Mrs. J. E. Day. Mrs.

Bobby Kawazoe, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Miss Pam Hall, Miss Laura Luersen and Mrs. David Crowe of Austin were attendants. Miss Bobette Day was flower girl. Ring bearer was Todd Day.

Steve Wagner served as best man. Ushering were Otto Kasparek, Jon Farmer, Tommy Brannon and Bobby Day. Groomsmen were David Crowe of Austin. Steve Day, brother of the bridegroom, and Robert Grigsby, brother of the bride. A reception was held in the church.

Busby-Ric Miss Judy Lee Rice and James Michael Busby were married Saturday in Bellaire Church of Christ. Glen Leigh officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harlan Rice are parents of the bride.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jackson Willard Busby of Von Ormy. Miss Wanda Rice, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Cynthia Glass and Miss Janice Busby, sister of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids. The flower girl was Margie Sutherland.

Best man was Bobby Odel Stinnett. David Alan Rice, brother of the bride, and James Earl Tupin ushered. After a reception at the home of the parents, the couple departed on a wedding trip to Mexico. MRS. C.

A. FABRA Fabra-Fitzhugh Travis Park Methodist Church was the setting Saturday for the wedding of Miss Della Lou Fitzhugh and Chester Arthur Fabra. The Rev. J. Walter Browers read the nuptial vows.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Fitzhugh. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs.

Christopher Waishes and the late Hilmer Fabra of South Padre Island. Mrs. 11. A. Fitzhugh Jr.

of College Station was matron of honor. Attendants were Miss Louise Holshouser and Miss Jane Janeeek. Amy Jane Hughes of Houston was flower girl. Glenn Theriae of Houston assisted as best man. Groomsmen were Joe Calderoni of Houston, Henry Calderoni of Brownsville and H.

A. Fitzhugh Jr. of College Station. After a reception in the Menger Hotel, Mr. and Mrs.

Fabra departed for a wadding trip to Acapulco. Th ompson-Stutts The Post Chapel at Ft. Sam Houston was the setting of the marriage Saturday of Miss Susan Marie Stutts and Larry Dane Thompson. Chaplain (Capt.) Joe D. Worley officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Lt. Col. and Mrs. Joel N. Stutts, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Derwood W. Thompson of Abilene. Miss Karen DeVilbiss was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Misses Joan Garlichs of Lake Jackson, Freda Thornton of Nederland. Sharon Thompson, sister of the bridegroom, Abilene and Melissa Gilbert of Iago.

Ronalyn Anstead of Abilene was flower girl. Thomas C. Hassell served as best man. Groomsmen were Ted Trippe, David Turner, Herb Wade, all of Houston and Ronnie Anstead of Abilene. Walter Anstead of Abilene was ringbearer.

Ushers included Lief Stromberg of Dallas Joel Stutts and Bob Stutts, the brothers. A reception was held in the Ft. Sam Houston Club. The couple will live in Houston. MRS.

J. L. STAHA Staha-Kettler Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday by Miss Carol Louise Kettler and John Louis Staha in St. Catholic Church. The Rev.

Louis- J. Moriarty officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Kinaud Kettler are parents of the bride.

The bridegroom is the? son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Staha. Mrs.

Edward V. Dylla was matron of honor. Attendants were Mrs. Steven P. Bowers, Philadelphia, Miss Billie Joan Kettler, Houston, and Mrs.

David W. Finger. Best man was Rodger L. Staha, Austin, brother of the bridegroom. Karl K.

Kettler brother of the bride; B. L. Hasert, New Braunfels; Thomas H. Judson Austin, and Clyde J. Barlow ushered.

A reception was held in the Menger Minuet Room. After a wedding trip to the Gulf Coast the couple will be at home in Austin. MRS. S. A.

ROSSMAN JR. Rossman-Massey Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Andrew Ro-ssman Jr. departed on a wedding trip to Cheyenne, and Las Vegas, following their marriage Saturday in Concordia Lutheran Church.

The Rev. Guido A. Merkens officiated. The bride, the former Marsha Lynn Massey, is the daughter of Mrs. James D.

Hutchinson of Houston, and the late Richard P. Skelton Sr. She was given in marriage by her brother, Richard P. Skelton Jr. of Houston, Mr.

Rossman is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Andrew Rossman. Mrs. Sandra Walden was matron of honor, and F.

A. Nunnelly Jr. was best man. W. Jack Tripp, Gary W.

Banks, Michael R. Blackman, David L. Fluitt and Donald J. Herbert ushered. A reception was held at the church.

The couple will be at home in Eagle Pass. MRS. J. H. MILLER Miller-Welder Miss Josephine Welder of San Antonio became the bride of John H.

Miller Saturday in St. Catholic Church, Beeville. Msgr. Harold F. Palmer officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs, Ray J. Welder of Beeville and the late Mr. Welder, and the bridegroom is the son of Judge John H. Miller of Sinton and the late Mrs. Miller.

Miss Sharon Bundrett was maid of honor and Alice Louise Hall, niece of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. Dr. Howard Higholt of Los Angeles, was best man. Ushers were Richard Coats, Harlingen: Robert Thomas, Victoria; Donald Adams, Sinton and Clifford Cate, Muskogee, Okla. Following a reception at the Beeville Country Club the couple left on a wedding trip to Mexico.

They will be at home in San Antonio. Local Trio Vacationing in California Mr. and Mrs. Marion E. Munoz and her sister, Mrs.

Betsey H. Walker, departed Saturday on a trip to California. In Santa Clara they will be the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. David Harper, brother and sister-in-law of Mrs.

Munoz and Mrs. Walker. They will visit Mrs. daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.

Mark Truan, in Santa Rosa. Recipe Contest They will also visit Mr. and Mrs. Ken Evans in Aptos and Mrs. Louis Harding in Berkeley, aunts and uncle of Mrs.

Walker and Mrs. Munoz. Before returning to San Antonio, Mr. and Mrs. Munoz and Mrs.

Walker plan stops at Lake Tahoe and San Francisco. Upon their return Aug. 5, they will motor to New Braunfels to attend the Inter- Lodge annual picnic and fair. Mr. Munoz is chairman of this event.
