At last board meeting, acting School Supt. Evan Low rey read a letter from lawyer Terence R.

Collins requesting $15,000 from the district on behalf of Charles Heiam, a Lincoln Junior High student Lowrey said Heiam suffered a broken collar bone during a physical education class when four other students piled on top of him He did not name the school where the incident occurred. The board also received a letter from lawyer John Bosshard requesting that the district pay former Longfellow Junior High School Principal Myron legal fees for his battery trial, which ended in acquital. Bosshard contends that because a jury found McKee innocent of battery charges that stemmed from a June 8 incident with 15-year-old Andy Oldenburg, a student at the school, the district is obligated to pay for his defense. The board referred the request to the city attorney. In other action, the board: Approved a board-negotiated teacher aide contract which provides for a total of $31,508 09 in raises and benefits.

The package provides for five paid holidays and for wage increases as follows: Class 1 $2.31 to $2.41 an hours; Class 2 $2.43 to Class 3 $2 55 to Class 4 $2.67 to $2.80 The 18- month contract is retroactive to Jan. 1. Approved a supplemental contract for high school athletic directors which provides for one- hour-a-day release time and $1,800 for a 12-month period. The previous contract called for $1,362 supplemental pay, and was for nine months. Also approved supplemental contracts for coaching and extracurricular activities for 1977-78 in accordance with the negotiated agreement.

Sauna owners sue St. Paul officials ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) An $11.2 million suit has been filed in federal court against St. Paul and its officials by eight sauna- massage parlor operators The suit involves the new anti-pornography rules.

In particular, the plaintiffs object to the regulation that sauna doors must be closed by 10 p.m. rather than 1 a.m., as is now the case, and the need for 70 hours of training by masseuses and masseurs. The plaintiffs are seeking a preliminary injunction which would prevent the new sauna dinance from taking effect Aug. 29. The plaintiffs in the suit are Red Carpet Sauna; Cosmos Sauna; Pam's Sauna, Civic Center Sauna; The Massage Emporium, Cosmopolitan Sauna Lee Sauna, and the St.

Paul Comfort Center. Earl Gray, attorney for the plaintiffs, said he also is seeking approval for a motion joining the suit with a similar $4.5 million suit filed previously in federal court by Dianne Fennell, operator of the Mistress Sauna Parlor.
