UpfMr DCS MtfaMs Tuttdoy, Augutt 23, 1966 Grand champion open class and 4-H dairy cow at the Kossuth County Fair was shown by Philip Ruger, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ruger of Fenton. He is shown here with the winning Holstein. Philip, a 1966 graduate of Sentral High School, is in his final (and eighth) year of 4-H work and is a member of the Fenton Progressors. Besides the double winner shown here, he also had the reserve champion in the .open class. He is also a cousin of Dennis Uthof, another Fenton youth, who showed the grand champion baby beef at the Fair. LOCALS TO WED SEPT. 3 Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reissner announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Martina Maria to Larry S. Severson, Lawler, formerly of Algona. The marriage will take place Saturday, Sept. 3 at the Assumption Catholic church at Little Turkey, la. Mr. Severson was an assistant to Gene Hutcnins at the Federal Land Bank Assn. offices in Algona and Forest City. GARY, SON of Mr. and Mrs. Bless Rusk, will be returning to Drake University, Des Moines, Sept. 1 and will enter upon Ms senior year of business administration. JEANETTE Wichtendahl and Patricia Groen, former aides at the Good Samaritan Home and now working at Friendship Haven, Fort Dodge, visited friends here Thursday. An addition is being made to the infirmary. Jeanette, whose engagement has been announced, will continue living in Fort Dodge where her fiance is employed. MRS. RUBY Braun, mother of Mrs, John Slevin, is at Omaha for a visit with her granddaughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thompson.
