Services for W.A. Barry Wednesday Funeral services were held for William A. Barry, ?3, Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Cecelia's Catholic church with Msgr. P. P. Gearen officiating. Mr. Barry died Jan. 30 at St. Ann hospital after a lingering illness. "Bill" was born Sept. 19, 1891 in Carthage, 111., the son of Susan Hunt and Charles B. Barry. He came to Algona with his parents when three years old and graduated from the Algona high school in 1910. June 3, 1914 he was married to Eva Mary Holtzbauer in Algona. Besides his wife, who is hospitalized in Iowa City, he is survived by a daughter, Betty, Mrs R. C. Berrie, McGregor and Dubuque. Eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive as does a sister, May me, Mrs. C. B. M. Smith, Des Moines. A son, Bill, died Dec. 20, 1955, and one sister is also deceased. The K of C 4th Degree served as honor guard Tuesday evening and attended the services in a group. Burial was in Calvary cemetery with Hamilton's in charge. Pallbearers were Matt Amfahr, Tony Schmitt, Marc Moore, Pat Montag, William Ludwig, and Howard Miller. Ex-Ringsted woman dies Saturday Ringsted — A former resident, Mrs. Jens Peterson, 89, Sioux City, died at Sioux City Saturday. Rites were held Tuesday at the Blakjer Lutheran church at Seneca with burial in the church cemetery. A brother, who' formerly operated a grocery store at Ringsted and now of St. Cloud, survives as well as a sister, Mrs. Pete Jensen, Fenton. The Thomas funeral home was in charge and Rev.
