I V. 17 Mt. Vernon Register-News mi 11 Ik "fj 1 ANNUAL NATIVITY SCENE The Central Church of Christ will enact a live nativity scene this Christmas season, from this Friday through Monday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Christmas Eve, the scene will be enacted from .5 p.m.

to 7 p.m. The colorful scene, an annual affair, is performed by church members in front of the church. Over 100 persons contribute in portraying the Bethlehem scene. This year, the program is under the direction of Mr. and Mrs.

Ron Cornwell. Mrs. Helen Hedges and Patti had a fellowship meeting after church Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs.

Billy Smith and sons of Thompsonville visited Mr. and Mrs. Gale Pearce and son Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs.

Jarvis Weeks visited Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Pearce at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia Sunday afternoon. Mr.

and Mrs. Robert Page visited Mr. and Mrs. Kick Webb of Hickory Hill over the weekend. WiUiams Chapel W.M.U.

In the afternoon we had a brief business session, decided to fix goodie boxes for shut-ins, also a gift for a child in the Childrens Home in Carmi, Dorothy Ponder led in prayer before we studied in Luke One. January meeting will be in the home of Mrs. Fern Holman. Mr.

and Mrs. Bill Page visited Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Pearce at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Ruby Lemons of Mount Vernon spent a few at the home of Pearl Porter and Donald. Mrs. Judy Pearce and Daron visited Mr. and Mrs.

Edward Sullivan of Thompsonville Sunday, also called on Mrs. Carrie Dorris at the Franklin Hospital. Mrs. Marge Lemons and Mrs. Bessie King of Mount Vernon visited in the home of Mrs.

Pearl Porter and Donald Thursday. In the morning Mrs. Lemons and Mrs. Porter made a business trip to Mount Vernon. Flora Allen.
