ABVANCC—3 THURSDAY, Ff S, 4, 1961 Engaged Wesley — Mr and Mrs Clarence Nelson, Wesley, announce the-engagement of their daughter, Ruth Ann Nelson, to Duane Kelch, son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Kelch, Corwith. The wedding will take place June 19. She will be graduated ' from Briar Cliff college in May. Mr Kelch is a graduate of the Iowa Barber College and is employed in Hampton. Services for Jerry Krieps held Tuesday A Solemn Requiem High Mass was celebrated for Jerry Krieps at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Wesley, at 10 a.m. Tuesday.Fr. R. W. Phillips was the celebrant, Fr. F. Conway, deacon, Fr. T. Powers, sub-deacon, and Fr. J. McAlpin, master of ceremonies. Jerry was born in Algona March 2, 1944, son of Alice Forburger and Joseph Krieps. He graduated from Garrigan high school in 1962 and was attending Creighton university in Omaha at the time of his death. Besides his father and stepmother, he is survived' by four sisters and three brothers: Joan, Mrs. Merle Loss, Jack, Joslyh, Jeffery, Nick and Ann. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Tom Forburger, and Mrs. Katherine Krieps, Algona. His mother died April 9, 1950. He was in his: third year of pre-law at college and a member of Delta Sigma Pi. In high school he was a member of the football team. Pallbearers were Jim Young wirth, Dennis Youngwirth, Larry Mergen, Jim Castress, Mark Erpelding, Steve Erpelding. Honorary pallbearers were: Oscar Froelich, John Horan, Ed Ber- toski, Richard Bleich, Mike Cruise, and Tom Reising. Burial was in the church ccme^ tery with Hamilton's in charge Lorena Vaudt, Whittemore/ dies Jan. 30 Lorena Katherine Vaudt, 63, Whittemore, died Jan, 30 in Isle- morada, Fla. Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday), at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Whittemore, with Rev. Cleo Kautsch officiating. Mrs, Vaudt was born in Whittemore August 7, 1901, daughter of Anna Patzock and G, W. Wehrspan. She was married to Walter Vaudt Sept. 19, 1922 at Whittemore, Besides her husband she is survived by five daughters and three sons; Dawn, Mrs. John Struecker, Fenton; Phyllis, Mrs. Harold Behnke, Decatur,, W.; Calvin and Eugene, Fenton; Hajr» Ian, Emmetsburg; Jeannette, Mrs, Elmer Maahs, Whitteihore; Sandra, Mrs, Don Morrow, Mar* tinsdale, la.; and Ann, Mrs. Warren Wood, Liv^rmore. Seventeen .grandchildren are living: Buriil will be in St. Paul's cemetery with McCullough's in charge. Pallbearers will be Er win Struecker, Martin Zimwer man, P.
