Weather Clear, Pleasant For 3rd Consecutive Day Fottstown residents enjoyed pleasant summer weather Tuesday, as sunshine and temperatures combined to provide ideal conditions for the third consecutive day. Only a few clouds obscured the sun as they passed lazily across its face. Mild summer breezes provided the ventilation to keep comfort within reach. The only complaint registered by some of the sensitive people was that the temperatures were too warm.

But then, they are the same ones who accuse air conditioning of being too cold when it is turned down below 77 degrees. From a low of 66 degrees, recorded at 6 a.m., the temperatures rose rapidly, topping the 80 degree mark shortly after 10 a.m. The high of 89 was reached at 6 p.m., which was still a full 8 degrees lower than the record 97 degrees set in 1925. The record low, incidentally. was a cool 53, which has held since 1898.

The weatherman calls for more of the near perfect summer weather continuing today with increasing cloudiness Thursday and a chance of showers. The extended forecast predicts partly sunny weather Friday. with cloudiness again increasing Saturday and Sunday.
