All items of news and all orders for advertising and printing will receive careful Nistendirk-Jaspering Wedding The marriage of Miss -Malinda Jaspering, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jaspering, and Mr. Franklin Nistendirk, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Henry Nistendirk, was solemnized on Saturday, December 26, 1931, at the Evangelical church in Wright City, Rev. A. E. Katterjohn officiating.

The witnesses to the ceremony were the bride's sister, Miss Margaret pering, and Mr. Sylvester Nissing. The bride was beautifully dressed in white satin trimmed with net, and she wore a yell, She carried an arm bouquet of white carnations. The bridesmaid wore a pink satin dress trimmed in blue, and her flowers were pink carnations The groom and groomsman wore conventionaldark suits. Following the ceremony the party drove to Troy, where photographs were made.

Later in the afternoon the families of the bride and groom enjoyed a lovely wedding dinner at the bride's home, south of Wright City. In the evening about two hundred relatives and friends assembled at the Fruit Farm Hall to extend congratulations and best wishes to the happy young couple. Music and dancing were enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs.

Nistendirk have established their home on a farm south of town, where they went to housekeeping at once. Their many friends join in wishing for them much future happiness. Miss Julia Simpson The correspondent received news last week of the death of her cousin, Miss Julia Simpson in San Francisco, California, which occurred Wednesday, December 23, 1931. Miss Simpson was the eldest daughter of the late James and Nancy Simpson and was in her 77th year. She was an exceptionally sweet character and possessed a most amiable disposition.

She had been a resident of San Francisco for many years, but resided in Wright City for a short period 1 following the San Francisco quake and fire in 1906. She was a niece of the writer's deceased mother, Mrs. Martha Simpson Sharp. Union Methodist Church The holidays have passed with the many joyous gatherings and fellowships and now we look forward to the devotion of our time to the regular services the Church and hope for the co-operation of every one to the forward movements of the Kingdom. Next Sunday the Sunday school will meet at 9:30 a.

m. and at 10:30 the pastor will bring the morning message. At 7:00 p. m. the Epworth "League will meet and at 7:30 will be the hour of evening worship.

The Mid-week services will vene Wednesday evening. On January 6, the Official Board will meet for the regular monthly business meeting at the close of the devotional service. All members of the Board are urged to be C. Harper, Pastor. Evangelical Church, Wright City Sunday school at 9:30 a.

m. Annual meeting of the congregation at 10:30. Evening service at 7:30. Ladies' Aid meets Wednesday afternoon, January 6, at two E. Katterjohn, Pastor.

Diekroeger, and Mrs. Wm. Nagel. Mrs. Lena Blattner spent from Thursday until Sunday in Warrenton as the guest of her daughter, Mrs.

Fred Lohman. Mr. and Mrs. George Gerdeman of Columbia visited Mr. and Mrs.

Henry Gerdeman the past week. Mr. and Mrs. A. E.

Strack and daughter spent the week- in St. Louis visiting relatives. Dr. and Mrs. Manuel Diekroeger and son of Brooklin, and Mr.

and Mrs. Louis. Davis of Carrollton spent from Thursday until Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. F.

W. Diekroeger. Mr. F. W.

Diekroeger returned home with his daughter, Mrs. Davis, for a short visit and from there will go to visit with his son, Dr. Diekroeger, before returning home. Mr. Geo.

Roth and friend, Mr. Goecke, of St. Louis were guests Wm. Huelsman and family over. the week-end.

Wilford Case and friend, Miltenberger, are spending the holidays with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Case. Mr.

and Mrs. J. P. Martin and family of St. Louis spent Christmas Day with Mrs.

Emma Bollegar and family and also visited relatives in Warrenton. Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette Mason and Mary Williams of St. Louis Mrs.

Lottie Hermeling: Gilbert Hermeling and family of St. Louis, Mr. and Mrs. Werkley and son of St. Louis and Mr.

and Mrs. Henry Godt and daughter of north of town. Mr, and Mrs. Carl Meyer and son of St. Louis spent Christmas Day at the home of C.

Engemann of Kansas City spent several of the holidays with homefolks. On Tuesday he and his parents visited with Mrs. Minnie Winkelman and children at Rhineland. Mrs. Ellen Hollmann and son, Billie, moved to St.

Louis last week to make their future home. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Buescher and baby of Alexandria, are spending the Christmas vacation here with relatives. Orville Hoeft, son of Fred Hoeft of Holstein, has been quite sick for eral weeks.

We hope that he may improve soon. Clarence Lefholz of St. Louis spent Christmas here with homefolks. His daughter, Nadyne, accompanied him to spend several days in the city. Chester Uthlaut and Werner Wegener of Elmhurst College and of Eden College are spending the holidays with homefolks.

Mr. and Mrs. Lorenz Meyer are being congratulated upon the arrival of a fine baby "girl on December 26th. Walter and Talitha Bierbaum went to St. Louis Monday to spend several days with relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hentze and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Maddern East St.

Louis, spent Sunday with 0. H. Nienkamp and family Holstein. Mr. and Mrs.

Orven Koch of Cuba, visited with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Koch, Christmas Day. Mrs. C.

Bockhorst and son, Carl, of St. Louis spent Christmas Day with friends at Holstein. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bierbaum and little daughter of St.

Louis spent Christmas with homefolks, Carl Bierbaum and family. Albert Mueller spent Christmas Day in St. Louis and was accompanied home by Misses Annie ler and Esther Bierbaum. Rev. and Mrs.

Wm. Huenefeld and family of Weldon Springs spent the holidays with relatives at Holstein. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nienkamp and son and Arlie Tempel visited with relatives at Washington Sunday.

Miss Millie Oberhelman and Gertrude Uthlaut spent Christmas Day with relatives in St. Louis. Mr. and Mrs. August Brueggenjohann visited with Walter Brueggenjohann in Washington Saturday.

Heidbrink gave a Christmas program in the Pleasant Hill school last Thursday, which was well attended. Quite a number of here attended the Christmas pageant of the Evangelical church in Wright City Friday and Sunday nights. Attorney A. H. Juergensmeyer and his Sunday School class of Warrenton treated the inmates of the County Farm to a Christmas present this year, which they greatly appreciated.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wolthaus, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Ordelheide and wife and Mr.

and Mrs. Andrew Ordelheide of Wright City spent Christmas Day in St. Louis with Wilbert Ordelheide and family. Her neighbors surprised Mrs. Emil Linnert Saturday night in honor of her birthday Christmas Day.

Plenty of good eats were on hand and a pleasant evening was spent. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fricke of Wright City spent Saturday with Ed. Rickhoff and family.

Miss Hilda Sabbert of St. Louis spent Christmas here with relatives and friends. Hawk Point and Community By C. A. HARPER spent Christmas Day with homefolks.

Mr. W. C. Edwards of Hannibal was here for Christmas Day and remained over Sunday. Mrs.

Mary Middelkamp of Warrenton visited her sister, Mrs. Geo. Heidtman, and husband Christmas Day: Raymond and Willis Hood of East St. Louis are spending a few days with their grandfather, J. W.

Cox. Mr. and Mrs. Jack McFall of Alton, spent Sunday with the latter's sister, Mrs. J.

W. Cox. Mrs. Carrie Krome spent a few days the past week in Warrenton visiting relatives. Mr.

and Mrs. Robert Gibbins of Kansas City spent from Thursday until Sunday with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wildschuetz. Miss Ruth Jane Blattner of St.

Louis is spending the holidays with homefolks. Mr. and Mrs. J. W.

Cox spent Christmas Day with relatives in St. Louis. Mr. and Walter Willis and daughter, Mildred, are spending the Christmas vacation with their daughter, Mrs. Oscar Schweerkotting and family of Rush Island.

Martin Lichte of Topeka, is here visiting relatives. Arlene Astroth had as her guest the past week-end Henry Remmert of Stet, Mo. Clarence Ober of Detroit, is spending the Christmas vacation with homefolks. Gladys Davis of St. Louis came home Thursday and remained until Sunday.

Nieburg and family of Springfield, spent Wednesday and Thursday of last week with relatives in Wright City. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bailey and Miss Edna Bailey of St. Louis and Mrs.

A. Bailey were Sunday guests at the Hollenbeck home. Miss Lena Bailey returned to St. Louis Sunday. Mrs.

Lutz will not conduct her regular music class on January 2. The following spent Christmas Day at the home of A. E. Blattner: H. O.

Hedemann and family, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Blattner, Lester Blattner and friend, Miss White, of St. Charles and Ruth Jane Blattner of St. Louis.

Miss Jennie Martin of St. Louis is spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Martin.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Meier and daughter of St. Louis were week-end visitors at the home of Mrs. Meier's brother, H.

O. Hedemann, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bockhorst of Truesdale visited at the home of Henry Fricke and family Christmas Day.

Arthur and Frederick Schnadt departed Saturday morning for Earle, to visit friends for several days. Mr. and Mrs. C. G.

Nieburg and daughters, Gladys and Bernice, spent Sunday in St. Louis at the home of Carl Meyer and family. Miss Bernice Vitt accompanied them home Sunday evening and returned to the city Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs.

Herman Brandt of St. Louis were visitors at the home of Wm. Nieburg and family Christmas Day. Mr. and Mrs.

Chas. 'Bellow and Ward Bellow of. O'Fallon spent Christmas Day at the home of Harry Fulkerson and family. Mrs. Henry Buerger spent Monday with Mrs.

Henry Diekroeger and family. The following spent Christmas Day at the home of C. O. Taylor and family: Dr. J.

B. Chiles, E. Chiles, Mr. and Mrs. R.

T. Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Hughlee Strathman and Mrs. Amanda Thompson, all of St.

Louis; Charles McIntyre of Pendleton; Mr. Earl Burns of Stratford, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nieburg and son, Stanford, of here. The following spent Christmas Day at the home of George Blattner: Mr.

and Mrs. Will Kamp, Mr. and Mrs. D. 0.

Groce and children of St. Charles and Mr. and Mrs. Will Schwier and daughter of Foristell. Mr.

and Mrs. Kamp continued their visit until Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lichte and Mr.

and Mrs. Wm. Koch. attended the funeral of Mr. Koch's sister, Mrs.

Louisa Schneider, at Big Springs, Sunday. We are sorry to report that Prof. Roi S. Wood of Eaglesville, underwent an operation for chronic appendicitis at the St. Joseph Hospital, St.

Joseph, Mo. Reports cate that he is doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kamp of Kansas City arrived Thursday.

Mrs. Maggie Kamp accompanied them St. Louis for a visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs.

Kamp returned to Kansas City Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Gericke and little daughter went to Alahambra, Thursday evening. Mr.

Gericke returned Sunday. Mrs. Gericke and daughter remained for a longer visit. The following spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.

Skinner of Kansas City spent the holidays with Mrs. Skinner's parents, Clarence McMahan and wife. Robert Fasse of St. Louis spent the holidays here with his parents, William Fasse and wife. Mrs.

Bertha Crouch and sons of the Mashek vicinity spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Davis. Miss Ada Davis is spending the holidays with her sister, Mrs. R.

R. Sturgis, in Humansville. Miss Fern Feldman of St. Louis and her aunt, Miss Gene Renner of South Dakota, were guests of Mrs. John Davis last Sunday.

Albert Howell and wife of Dowagiac, drove down Sunday for a few days visit with their parents and others relatives. Albert and wife are looking fine and he reports business in very good shape. Archie Martin of St. Louis spent last week here with friends and relatives. Father Svehla received the nice quilt that the Ladies' Aid donated to the community fund last week.

He is delighted over receiving the quilt and appreciaties it very much. Mrs. Albert Thurstin and children and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bierbaum, all of St.

Louis, spent several days of last week here with homefolks. Miss Nina Upson of St. Louis spent last week here with her sisters, Mrs. Ed. Hamilton, Mrs.

Cashdollar and Mrs. Jim Howell. Mrs. Reed of Jefferson City came for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Alfred Gililland. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Broz and family visited Mr. and Mrs.

Charles Hurt and family of near Millwood last Sunday. Mrs. John Weitkamp and Miss Gussie Weitkamp of St. Louis, John Weitkamp of Moscow and Mr. W.

I F. Guinn were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Witt Saturday of last week. Miss Mildred Witt is spending the holidays with her grandmother, Mrs.

of Weitkamp in Moscow Mills. Ray K. Duncan of St. Louis was of here several days of last week Visiting with his parents, W. L.

Duncan and wife. Miss Lillie Duncan of Troy. ate on Christmas dinner here with her brother, W. L. Duncan, and family.

Misses Anna Mao and Dorothy Witt are spending a week with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Eckstein in Wentzville. Gilbert Gililland of St. Louis spent la few days here with his parents, J.

Gililland and wife. W. B. Howell and wife had the pleasure to have their daughters, Mrs. John Lynch and husband of Pardeville, A.

W. Howell and wife of Dawagiac, Miss Alma Howell, of Michigan, Mrs. children, W. H. Duncan, husband and Mrs.

Harry Thurmon and son, Billie, of Troy, Mrs. Reno Baker Howell and and family, and Mr. Elmer family with them during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs.

Lee Burgess and children of St. Louis spent several days visiting their homefolks and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Balek and Mr.

George Balek, all of St. Louis, visited with John Martinek and family during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Pollard and daughter of Hannibal were here several days visiting with Mrs.

Pollard's mother, Mrs. Myrtle Cregger, and children several days of last week. Master Edward Norton of near Millwood is spending this week here with the family of his uncle, Charlie Broz. Mr. and Mrs.

John Peterson and family spent Christmas Day with Mr. Frank Knizel, and family. Miss Adelia Martinek of St. Louis spent a few days here with her parents, W. F.

Martinek and family, during the holidays. Dr. Paul Diggs and wife and daughters and visited with their parents and other relatives last week. Mr. and Mrs.

Chas. Hurt and children and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Norton and son, Edward, of near Millwood enjoyed a goose dinner with Chas.

Broz and family Christmas Day. Mrs. W. S. Moore and nephew, Clarence Edwards, of Troy spent Christmas Day with Mrs.

Moore's brother, C. A. Harper, and wife. Mrs. Will Shand of Warsaw, arrived here Thursday of last week for a few day's visit with her numerous friends in this vicinity.

While in Troy Thursday of last week, we had the pleasure to meet our old 1 friends, Willie Swan and wife. Both are looking fine. We were glad to have "Billie" tell us that he reads and enjoys our letter each week. This was a surprise to us since this had never been his home. It tells us that these good folks remembered and appreciated all their old friends of this vicinity whom they met in a business way and otherwise.

Logan Armstrong and family are spending this week with homefolks in Southwest Missouri near and about Clinton. We notice in today's Globe-Democrat that folks are gathering roses and violets in Cinton, Mo. This is nothing new, as Mrs. Harper has had violets in bloom in her yard all fall and winter. Bro.

Dudley filled his regular appointment here Sunday morning and evening. This service finished his year's work. He has given good and satisfactory service during the year he has been with us. At the election of officers Sunday morning Dr. Butler was elected to serve as an elder while Will Cunningham, D.

H. Walton and Erett Gililland were elected to serve as deacons. Earl Diggs and friend, Miss Esther Kayler of South Bend, spent the holidays here with Earl's mother, Mrs. Mollie Diggs, and daughter, Mrs. Florence Begeman.

Duward Lawson of St. Louis spent a few days of the holidays here with Joe Burgess and family. Miss Laura Eversmeyer of Chicago was here over last week-end with homefolks. Miss Laura is one of the fortunate folks to have a good position and is making good. Mr.

and Mrs. H. H. Eversmeyer were made happy Sunday in having their children, F. L.

Eversmeyer and family of Troy, Ernest Eversmeyer and family of Jonesburg, Mrs. nest Thompson, husband and children of here and Miss Laura of cago with them for the day and the Christmas dinner. The condition of our sick folks, Mr. Frank Stanek, Joe Tomek and Mrs. Joe Norton, remains about as they were last week.

Mr. Stanek is in the hospital and will remain for a week or ten days. Leek Kinion is no better, so we are informed. To the many, many friends who sent us Christmas greetings we want to say it made us happy to be so remembered. The cards of Christmas cheer just kept coming in from all directions with expressions of good cheer and hearty appreciation of our letters during the past year.

I do not know if it will be possible for us to acknowledge each one and so will in this letter just say we want to thank you for the kind remembrance and good wishes. We are greeting each and every one of our friends both at home and away 1 from home with our best wishes for you to have a most successful and happy New Year. Just wish we could grasp your hand and say "God bless you and may your year be full of the best He can give you." Indian Camp By AUG. H. John Bockhorst of St. Louis and. son, Raymond, of Chicago, Theo. Eversmeyer and son, Ralph, and daughter, Dorothy, of Wright City and Mr. and Herman Vahle and son, Albert, of this vicinity.

August Sievert, John Hasekamp and family and Henry Moeller and family spent second Christmas Day with Fred Sievert and family near Moscow. Miss Clara Moeller and boy friend of St. Charles visited homefolks Christmas. Miss Hilda Moeller, also of St. Charles, is spending Christmas week with her parents.

Henry Jaspering xisited his daughter, Mrs. August Vahle, last week Tuesday, who was quite sick, but is able to be about again at this writing. Miss Clara Vahle spent Christmas at home. Misses Lorene and Clara Oberlag of St. Louis spent Christmas at home.
