Minnie was born on Sept. 7, 1915, in Williamson County, the daughter of Alvin and Mae (Walker) Stephens. She married Woodrow McCree on Nov. 29, 1939. He preceded her in death Feb.

4, 1995. Minnie was of Methodist faith. She is survived by two daughters, Pansy Chamness and husband, Gary, of Mount Carmel and Bonnie Scoffic and husband, Mike, of Eldorado; eight grandchildren, Dr. Woody McCree, Kim Anderson and husband, Dave, Pat McCree and wife, Jo, Leigh Ann O'Donnell and husband, Mike, Jay Chamness and wife, Cindy, Becky Orr and husband, Ron, Tim Scoffic and wife, Denise, and Matthew Scoffic and wife, Sandy; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ralph McCree; one daughter, Ann McCree; four brothers, Clifford Stephens, Paul Stephens, Gene Stephens and John Stephens; and one sister, Marjorie Wilson.

He was born Jan. 11, 1920, in Danville, the son of Charles D. and Dolly (Harrison) Ham. He married Dorothy (Milligan). She preceded him in death in July 1983.

He is survived by a son, Harland "Carl" Ham of Benton; four daughters, Thelma Darnell of Benton, Mary Isaacs of Thompsonville, Wanda Richardson of Muncie, and Clara Poe of Benton; eight grandchildren, Robin Holmes and husband, Charles, of Benton, Sabrina Richerson of Indiana, Kristie Poe and Jared Davis of Benton, Eric Poe of West Frankfort, Stacie Poe of Benton, Jamie Poe of West Frankfort, Darren Borson of Indiana and Amanda Richerson and Anthony Threadway of Indiana; eight great-grandchildren a brother, Andy Ham; close family friends, Phyllis McMahon and Roy Shaw of Benton, Dorris Family of Benton, Keith Family of Kentucky, Higgerson Family of Benton, and Risley Family of Sesser. Lowanda Martin CYPRESS Lowanda Martin, 87, of East St. Louis, formerly of Cypress, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, in Touchette Regional Medical Center in Centreville.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. WEST FRANKFORT Larry G. Deason, 56, of Summerville, S.C., formerly of West Frankfort, passed away Dec. 16, 2007, in West Frankfort.

lie was born Feb. 5, 1951, in Spring Valley to John R. Deason and Audrey (Gass) Deason. He married Sharon Lance Rennie Deason on Oct. 30, 1998, in Benton.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Deason of Summerville, S.C.; two daughters, Lorry Hagen and husband, Darren, of Festus, and Lacy Ray and husband, Harry, of Stiritz; two stepchildren, Sara Sciluffo and husband, Tony, of West Frankfort and Emily Bryant and husband, Shane, of Summerville, S.C.; grandchildren, Aaron, Zakkary, Maddy and Gracey; his mother, Audrey Deason of West Frankfort; two brothers, Roger Deason and wife, Joyce, of Johnston City and John W. Deason of Sesser; and one sister, Vickie Barnard and husband, Buddy, of West Frankfort. He was preceded in death by his father, John "Corky" Deason. Larry served in the U.S. Navy.

He was an avid golfer and member of Miler Golf Club of Summerville. He was a LPN and had worked at Jefferson County Homeless Rescue. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, in Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort, with Rev.

Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, in Carrier Mills Nursing Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, in Gaskin-Jones Funeral Home in Harrisburg, with the Rev. David Howard officiating.

Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Mrs. Wirth was a legal secretary and partner and manager of Don Scott Abstract and Title Company in Harrisburg. She was a member of Harrisburg First Baptist Church since 1930, as well as Delta Theta Tau, Friends of the Library, Candellite Home Bureau Unit, Saline County Historical Society and Carbondale Porcelain Art Guild. She was born June 9, 1918, in Harrisburg to Don Mofield and Minnie Neely.

She married Harry Elmer Wirth on April 23, 1939, in Benton, Ky. He preceded her in death Dec. 10, 1983. Survivors include her son, Harry Don Wirth and wife, Susan, of Cobden; granddaughters, Donna Maria Mott and husband, Joseph, of Glenmora, and Jordan Satterfield of Harrisburg; great-grandson, Zack Mott of Glenmora; and stepgreat-grandaughters, Natasha and Courtney Mott of Glenmora. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Mofield and Paul Mofield, and a sister; Mary Iva Carrington.

Vistation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mildred L. (Davis) Renwick MARION Mildred L. (Davis) Renwick, 85, went to her home with the Lord at 9:10 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, surrounded by family at her home. Mildred was born Dec. 27, 1921, in Saline County to William R. and Oleta Pearl (Goad) Davis.

She married Robert E. Erenwick of Elgin on July 9, 1966. Mildred is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Janis Fitts; two grandchildren, Nicole and Chad Fitts; a brother, Raymond W. Davis and wife, Helen, of Marion; four stepdaughters, Sharon Pierce, Norma Jean Jarka, Susan Nelson and Carolyn Perly; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elinor, Alice and Barbara Lee; and a brother, Duane.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Ingram Hill Baptist Church in Harrisburg, with the Rev. Ron Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A wake will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

Dan was born Feb. 17, 1917 in Matthews, to John Wesley and I Flora Dean (KanrApr Crain Grain. He married Christine Palmer on Nov. 15, 1936. She preceded him in death Dec.

2, 1999. They shared 63 years of marriage. He is also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank and Arnold Crain; one sister, Edith Sparks; one son and daughter-in-law, Clifton and Maxine Helton; one daughter, Ruth Huff; two granddaughters, Karleen Varva and Louise Moorehead; and one grandson, Mark Helton. Survivors include one daughter, Elline Long of Carbondale; his special companion, Fannie Wichkowsky of Carbondale; his caregiver, Connie Clark; his grandchildren, Ed and Linda Long of Lincoln, Dan and Kim Long of Naples, Jack and Deana Long of Carbondale, Mike and Marsha Helton of Herrin, Joe and Cindy Helton of Carterville, David and Barb Helton of Carterville, Christine and Mike Sanders of Carterville, Cheryl and George Channon of Houston, Elzie Lee and Teresa Huff of Campbell, Texas, John and Debbie Huff of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Kathy and Jerry Counseller of Texas, Jennifer Crisp of Texas and Michael and Dawn Huff of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and numerous greatgrandchildren, great-greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dan was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1935 and 1936 and served in both the U.S.

Army and the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was retired from Southern Illinois University where he worked as a carpenter foreman in the physical plant. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 0638. He was a 4-H leader the early 1950's.

Dan was a member of the West Monroe Apostolic Church in Herrin. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, in Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale, with the Rev. Terry Griffith officiating.

Burial will be in Murdale Gardens of Memory in Murphysboro. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 127, VFW Posts 7190 and 2605, and DAV Chapter 69. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 at the funeral home.

Friday at the funeral home. Robert Segar CHESTER Robert Louis Segar, 68, of Dallas, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Services will be at noon Sunday in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Chester, with the Rev.

Mark Willig officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or Colon Cancer Foundation.

Care in Carbondale. Lucille was born Oct. 28, 1916, in Johnson County to Charles and Maggie (Emery) May. Heck She married Kenneth Heck on Dec. 25, 1936, in Herrin.

He preceded her in death "Sept. 2, 2003. They shared 66 years of marriage. Lucille was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister and her husband, Aldine and Earl Scott; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Warren and Donald Heck; and two sisters-in-laws and their husbands, Genevieve and Bill Carmichael and Helen and Carroll Chamness. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Judy (Heck) and Roger Gray of Cobden; two granddaughters and their husbands, Lisa (Gray) and Stuart James of Anna and Jennifer (Gray) and Jeff Tweedy of Greensboro, N.C.; two great-grandsons, Brady and Colton James of Anna; twin great-granddaughters, Brooke and Jordan Tweedy of Greensboro, N.C.; one brother, Charles May and wife, Vivian, of Carterville; two sisters, Bernice Warren of Crainville and Billie Gulledge of Jerseyville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Imogene and Charles Brush of Creal Springs; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Lucille was a 70-year resident of Carbondale, having lived on East Grand, Norwest Drive and Liberty Village Estates. She worked at Good Luck Glove Factory in Carbondale from 1935 to 1959 and Spires Grocery Store, also in Carbondale, from 1960 to 1983. She was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Carbondale, a member of Adult 5 Coed Sunday School Class and a 50 year member of Eastern Star. She loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who know her. Services will be at 11 a.m.

Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, in Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale, with the Rev. Wesley Henson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m.
