Upper Pet Moinei Tuesday, July 19, 1966 Miss Donna Richardson and Gary Norcross wed June 26 LU VERNE^-Miss Donna Lee Richardson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Richardson, of Story City and Robert Dean Norcross, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Norcross, of Lu Verne were united marriage Sunday, June 26, 1966, at 3 p.m., at the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church, Story City. The Rev. P.aul Beckman officiated at the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Darrel Doolittle, organist, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lekwa as they sang "Wedding Prayer" and'"-With This RinE." Th? chapel was decorated with white glads ?ad mums. The pews were decorated with white bells and bows. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor length gown of imported lace over satin, with scalloped neckline and long pointed sleeves. The full skirt was pulled into a sheath in front and fell to a chapel train in back. Her chapel length veil of illusion was edged with lace and appliqued with lace rose motifs baby satin roses. She carried a cascade bouquet of miniature red roses and white net with streamers of miniature red roses. Mrs. Robert Moore, AlU-man, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Miss Marlene Norcross. Iowa Falls, and Miss Joanna Norcross, Lu Verne, sisters of the groom were bridesmaids. Kristin Norcross, niece of the groom was the flower girl. Mrs. Olga Whittlesey and Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Nelson attended the funeral of Leonard Wilson at Cylinder. He was the son of a cousin of Mrs. Whittlesey and Mrs. Merlin Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Christensen and family of Cedar Rapids and Mark Christensen spent Sunday, July 3, visiting their mother, Mrs. Uclptune Christensen. Lu Verne class of 1933 held reunion July 3 LU YERNE-Tte class of 1933 of the La Verne Comnuntty High School held a reonkw Sunday. July 3. Fire of the class of twenty-three were present. At- tendlac were Mr. and Mrs. Merle Sprftoer, Des IMao/ qtrmen Hesse, Che Rer. Mrs. Elmer Wtbrcpann, Aorelia- Bernadine Ristau, Mrs. Fay Harmon, Dorothy May Lindebak, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hanselman, Yulah Mao Murray. Mr. ami Mrf. John Voss, Jr., of Lu Verne. They gathered at the school house for visiting, A te.i table was decorated in Hie class colors of blue and white and the class flower, yellow rose. Tlipy went to Johnny's Steak Harbor, Humboldt for a seven o'clock dinner. Lu Verne Legion auxiliary met Tuesday, July 5 LU VERNE-The American Legion Auxiliary met at the Lu- Verne town hall Tuesday evening with 15 members present. The new officers for the year were installed by Mrs. Earl John. They are Mrs. Allen Blake, president; Mrs. Owen Curry, vice-president; Mrs. Anne Smith, secretary; Mrs. Laura Zweifel, treasurer; Mrs. Bryan Stewart, historian; and Mrs. George Studer, sergeant at arms. The Evening Star Circle are on vacation July and August. Mrs. Ida Gillette, Wesingtou Springs, South Dakota, was a recent guest of her niece, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Merkle. Albert (Butch) Nielsen, Britt, formerly of Lu Verne, underwent an appendectomy July 4 at the Hancock County Memorial hospital at Britt. He is in satisfactory condition. Dispersal Sale 9:80 A.M.
