A large crowd at- tended. Thirty-five beautiful boxes were contributed by the girls and sold to the hignhest bidder.

Two cakes were made by the Home Economic: girls, one went to the prettiest girl, ed Mug Myrtle Houck, and-the other t( the ugliest Clyde flatten. Over a hundred dollars was realized from the sale of the boxes and cakes. This sum will be used to provide necessar.i le equipment for the various rooms. A representative of the publishers of du the magazine "The Country Gentle. man" was at school Friday and owganized the boys and girls of the Thigh school into a "Maggie and Jiggs" Club No for the purpose of securing subscriptions for the magazine, thereby obtaming a nice fund for our athletics, our school receiving half the amount es of the subscription price.
