Anderson Engaged Mr. and Mrs. John R. Anderson announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Dorothy G. Anderson, to Mr.

William H. Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Meyer of 211 Ocean Avenue, Flatbush.

Mr. Meyer was a student at Wesleyan and was graduated from Columbia in the class of 1921. Both are active members of the Riding and Driving Club of Brooklyn. No date has been set as yet for the wedding. Concert by Rutgers College Musical Clubs On Friday evening, January 6th, the combined Musical Clubs of Rutgers College of; New Brunswick, N.

will give a concert and dance under the auspices of the Fellowcraft Club of Covenant Lodge No. 758 F. and A. M. The concert is to be held in the auditorium of the Brooklyn Masonic Temple, Clermont and Lafayette Avenues, Brooklyn, at 8:15 P.

M. and will be followed by dancing. The Rutgers College Musical Clubs are well known in Brooklyn and a most delighttul evening is anticipated. Authors' Readings at Children's Museum Christmas holly and other decorations win tall candlesticks in the windows gave holiday atmosphere to the Authors' Evening and Christmas Party given by the Americanization Committee of the Woman's Auxiliary of the Children's Museum on Wednesday evening of last week, when about two hundred guests gathered at the Museum. The Waits of the Clark Street Players added Christmas cheer and the spirit of ye olden time, singing carols of the days of Queen Elizabeth in the candle light.

The well-known authors who read their verses were John Farrar, Editor of the Bookman; John Weaver, Leonora Speyer and Mr. and Mrs. Hamlin Garland. Mrs. T.

Mortimer Lloyd read verses she had written for the occasion, "A Christmas Dream." Mrs. I. Sherwood Coffin, president, gave a few words of welcome and presented Mrs. William W. Fisher, chairman of the Americanization Committee.

Miss Anna Billings Gallup, curator of the Museum, welcomed the guests in the name of the Museum. Mrs. Fisher then introduced Mrs. Rebecca Lane Hooper Eastman, who in happy vein introduced the group of authors who had journeyed from Manhattan to bring a Christmas Message to Brooklynites. The flow of wit and wisdom, delightful story and verse, made a rare evening.

The program closed with a second group of carols sung by the Waits, at the close of which they filed out singing, until their voices softly died away in the distant corridors of the Museum. After the program, refreshments were served in various rooms in the Museum under the supervision of Mrs. John R. Farrar, chairman of. the evening.

A. Duane Pell, Mr. Walter H. 11 Carolyn A. Ruefer's Christmas Dance One of the attractive holiday dances was given by Miss Carolyn A.

Ruefer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Ruefer, at her home 560 East Seventeenth Street, Flatbush, on Thursday evening, December 23rd. Miss Ruefer is a student at Berkeley Institute and the girls at the dance, with one exception, were also Berkeley students.

They all received boutonnieres to which were attached the names of their partners for the first dance and for supper. The guests at the dance were the Misses Marion Bishop, Beatrice Middleton, Dorothy Dunham, Virginia Gibbs, Justine Zobel, Betty Wissing, Katherine Blount, Isabella Kellogg and Eleanore King and the Messrs. Miss Hildegarde Luce Engaged Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. Luce of 116 Remsen Street, announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Hildegarde Luce, to Mr. Kenneth W.

Spalding, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel A. Spalding, of 501 Argyle Road. Miss Luce is a graduate of Brooklyn Heights Seminary and Mr.

Spaulding is a graduate of Dartmouth and a member of Chi Phi. Both are members of the Sons and Daughters of New England. Atkins, U. S. N. and Mrs. Atkins have recently bought a large place at Colebrook, in the foothills of the Berkshires which they will occupy as soon as alterations are completed.

The house, which they have named "The Anchorage" is. over one hundred years old. Commander Atkins, who is having a month's shore leave, is now at Colebrook superintending the improvements. He leaves the middle of January to join the destroyer flotilla of the Atantic Fleet. Mrs.

Atkins and her young daughter, Betty, expect to leave Brooklyn the 1st of February for "The Anchorage." Miss Olga Muldener Engaged Mrs. Matilde Muldener of 54 East Seventeenth Street, Brooklyn, announces the engagement of her daughter, Miss Olga Irma Muldener, to Mr. Walter Powles Chur. Miss Muldener attended Packer Institute, graduating in June, 1920. Mr.

Chur, who resides in Orange, N. is formerly of this city, The wedding will take place in the early spring. Mr. Dyruff's Supper Party Christmas Night Mr. H.

Francis Dyruff of the Hotel St. George entertained a party of friends at supper on Christmas night (Monday) in the new ballroom supper grill at the Hotel St. George. According to the custom of the Hotel, a tall, illuminated Christmas tree adorned with souvenirs for the guests placed in the lobby and after the Christmas festivities had been enjoyed, everyone went to the grand ballroom for dancing. Mr.
