AigoMJVV BLOSSOM INSURANCE Algona, Iowa in overtime The Algona high school Junior. Varsity edged Ledyard's varsity team Tuesday night in a real stem-winder up at Ledyard, 82 80 in an overtime. It was Coach Keith Christie's teams 7th win in a row without a loss. The game was tied at 80 with less than a minute to play when Rod Rogert intercepted a pass and dribbled the length of the floor for the winning layup. Algona had trailed at the half, 4240. Junior Rich Black paced the winner's with 24 points while Craig Taylor bagged 20. Rogert had 18, Mike Betts 8, Dale Federsen 6, Bruce Olson 4 and Steve Voyles 3. Loyola led at the half, 49-38 and increased their margin steadily in the second half. The Bancroft "B" team dropped the opener, 47-41 with Jerry Vaske hitting 15 points and Bill Wolf 12.
