It was also stated from the Parent-Teacher manual that the principles which underlie parliamentary law are; 1 courtesy and justice; 2.

majority rule; 3. respect for rights of the minority; one thing at a time. Knowing parliamentary pro cedure in Parent-Teacher aids in insuring business and developing an organization that will promote objects for which the stands. Tt was' further-stated that members who understand parliamentary proced-re are an asset to the local for then know how to make a motion, they have poisa and confidence -and thereby develop leadership ability. One hundred members enrolled in October when Mrs.

Charles Bustin state parliamentarian, conducted the first study: course and Mrs Armen. with the presidents, is urging all members to complete the'-course and mail it to the Austin office fcy February 10. Each course completed satisfactorily will give the iocal credit of 25 BOffits on tiieir standard sheets. Members will also be sent certificates upon of the course from the--state office. CALENDAR Pilot Club-Is Now Chartered By International At a charter night banquet held last "night in School the Baytowa chapter of Pilot Club International received its charter and formally installed officers in the presence of approximately 60 and guests.

Daisy Bland, Extension representative of Eight presented the main" "address of the evening on "Pilot-r-It's Place in Our Officers were installed in a. most impressive ceremony emphasizing the meaning of colors -through the presentation of flowers to each officer.

Josie Roberts of Houston, who installed the officers, is a past president of Pilot International and had the privilege of organizing chapters and installing their officers in-Paris and London last summer. The banquet tables in a U-shaped formation were centered with fruit and grain arrangements carrying out the club colors of green and gold. Streamers of autumn leaves and yellow tapers completed the table decorations with the Pilot Club emblem occupying a place of prominence on the head table. Among the special guests present were Mrs. Jack Furbee, president of the Baytown Garden Club: Mrs, Reagan Gates, president of the Kappa Kappa chapter of Beta Sigma Phi; Holly McLemore representing the Rotary Club; Mrs.
