LTON ft SONS, 533 W. 27ih New York Last year every Rotarian in Westchester was registered at the Rye Conference, and with this example before us Brooklyn has been asked by the District Governor to also register 100 per cent, even if every member cannot attend. Rotarian Joseph A. Burgun has been appointed to receive registrations from Brooklyn members. The fee is $5 each for members, no charge for ladies.

Hotel charges, including everything, are $17 for each person, covering the two days of the conference. Jones of the Brooklyn Edison Company gave his annual survey of the Brooklyn industrial field at this week's Rotary luncheon.

The idea of presenting this annual review of Brooklyn's industrial growth was first conceived in 1922, when as active head of the first Brooklyn Industrial Exposition appeared before the club with facts and figures about Brooklyn and an appeal to the industries represented in Rotary to support the exposition. We all remember that the result was a most successful showing of "Made in Brooklyn" products which was a revelation to many of us and attracted world-wide attention to Brooklyn as a manufacturing center. Brooklyn Rotary figured largely in both that exposition and the one held last spring and probably will be as well represented this year as a result of Rotarian Jones' earnestness and activity; Besides Rotary's interest in the subject as shown by the attendance of our members, there were quite a number of non-Rotarians present who, as representatives of local industrial plants and anxious to hear 1923 survey, were present as guests. Circulars are also being sent out from New York, giving a proposed itinerary for the Toronto Convention in June. Rotarian Dr.

Frank A. Gough is also chairman for Brooklyn Rotary for the Convention, fuller details of which will be announced later. 25 YcrltCIly GEORGE SAMUEL IS CHAIRMAN OF THE TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE. Brooklyn must not be outdone. It's up to you! No word has been received this week from President Laurus, who is making an automobile tour of the South. As he goes further and further away from home we presume it is only natural that messages will grow less frequent. However, we know he will make it a point to attend Rotary meetings whenever he can while away, so are not worried about his attendance average. CP.

At this same meeting will occur the monthly election, when seven new candidates for membership will be admitted to the club.
