M. By the Lourt adjourned until 2 p. PARlllAL RESUMPTION. Since the -decision of the Hyde; Park men to resume work on the terms of the Delaware and Hudson Company it has been the general opinion that the strike could be of but short duration, and that our coal field would again resound with the busy hum of industry at a very early day. I hat this opinion was correct 13 shown by the partial resumption of one large combany to-day.

This morning a reporter off the Daiy Record called on Mr. Joseph Lippencptt, the veteran agent of the Delaware and Hudson Canal Co. in this city, and was kindly received by that gentleman, although occupied with the duties his extensive coal trade. Reporter I understand the men in your employ are about to resume work to-day; can you give any information? i 31r Lu les, quiite a number or i our men went to work this morning at the Black Diamond luhnel, slope JNo. 1, and at slope No.

3. i Reporter How many men went in to work? I i jlr. cannot' tell the exact; num ber, but a majorityj at each place. The number who refused to begin work is Quite small. Reporter Do you think that all your works will be started? Yes, they have gone to work at fccranton and will' probably; do so at YY ilkes-Barre.
