The New York Journal is the only Metropolitan paper indorsing Bryan and Sewall and it daily publishes articles fcy the leadine financiers of the country on both sides of the question "Silver versus Gold" It is progressive liberal and always espouses the cause of the masses Every broad minded man should read it whether Republican or Democrat Broke Out iu a New Place This time from Metal Heretofore our silver club has been furnishing material for tbe "Repository" and "Opinion" correspondents of Fannettsburg uamely Bob of the "Opinion" and Bob of the "Repository each seeming determined to outrival the other with mis statements concerning the "club" Its workings A new Ananias has arisen at Metal to unite with those above mentioned who calls himself "sound money" Republican lie states among other falsehoods in "Re pository" that the Republicans requested a joint discussion with the Democrats but that the offer was declined Ijie number 2 was that the club has but two ex-soldiers on roll when the fact is the roll contains 10 and more to follow Lie number 3 Is that Kegerreis is for gold There is not a Kegerreis in our valley who Is not sol la for Bryan' But this style of statements are directly in line with the campaign methods of our opponents at this time This club at Fannettsburg has given our opponents much concern They wanted to advise us that the organizing of a club In the country was an unnecessary move lo make But notwithstanding all this the club was gotton up and their unsolicited advice was unheeded The result Is a roll of uearly 75 members and will reach the 100 mark before Saturday night "Sound money man" also names three other Demo crats which he says are for the Gold staud ard Wb are not prepared to say at this time whether that statement is true or not but judgiug from the article throughout we would feolsafe In putting that statement down as number 4 Writer closes by saying that McKinley will have KM) majority iu Metal township This Is the biggest lie In the list and we will prove it to your satisfaction on Nov 3rd Writer says there were few Joined the club at the meeting on Saturday night al Metal aud they were old Democrats who didn't want to change their politics That's so they are like all the Democrats of our community they don't want to change their politics because they believe that the people should rule this country Instead of mnnej power They believe as every true Demo crat believes that in Wm Bryan they have a leader who Is an euemy to trusts monopolies and this money pnw( and an earnest advocate of such principles as will lead to relief of the farmer the laborer and all who feel the need of better times "Sound money man" further states that Court House Nnton The assessors began the assessment for
