AT CLASS REUNION Knute Mehl of Newel, who has been assisting Ollie Nasby at the Good Samaritan Homes, spent the weekend in Joliet, Til. and vicinity and attended a class reunion of at the Illinois State University. - o - 1915 CLASS DINNER Members of a high school class graduating In 1915 met for dinner at Van's Sunday evening. In attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Baler, SalinaKans.,Mr.andMrs. Alfred Schenck, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Geigel, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hansen, Stewart McFadden and Gene Schemel. - o - PRE-NUPTIAL SHOWER A miscellaneous shower was held Monday at the Methodist church for Barbara Bartlett whose marriage to Jerry Seller will take place Friday, June 17. Hostesses were Mesdames Glenn Graham, John Hayes, Lawrence Hutzell, William Navolchick, John Schutter and Joe Tschetter. GUESTS FROM KANSAS Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Karr, of Sallna, Kas., were guests from last week Thursday till Monday of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hansen. The women are sisters. - o - 500 CLUB HOSTESS Mrs. Elizabeth Post will be hostess to her 500 club Wednesday evening. - o - CLUB MEETING The last meeting of a bridge club which does not meet again until fall was entertained last week Thursday by Mrs. Dick Post. It was postponed from the previous week. '- o - LODGE MEETINGS The Royal Neighbors met Monday evening and had a covered dish supper. The Rebekah Lodge met Tuesday evening and refreshments were served. PINK LADIES MEET The "Pink Ladies" were at the Good Samaritan Home Tuesday, June 14, to observe the birthdays of the second and third floor residents. - o - SEWING CLUB Mrs. Lyle Steele entertained her sewing club Tuesday afternoon, - o - F/ .«ULY REUNION A family reunion was held over the weekend at Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bowmans. Present were their sons-in-law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Don Craig, East Peorla, m., who went from here on a vacation trip to the Black Hills, Grand Canyon and Yellowstone Park; Mr. and Mrs, Leo Lalller, Kristy Vickie and Debbie of Ventura, who went from here to northern Minnesota; and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Radig and family, Lone Rock. - o - RECEIVES DEGREE .Mr. and Mrs. E. C. McMahon were visited a week by their son, Dr. Robert and wife the former Mary Kay Knoll, Chicago. Robert received his degree in optometry. They are also spending some time with his wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Knoll. The McMahons and Dr. Robert and wife plan to spend the weekend at Okoboji. - o ON TRIP WEST Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hutchison are on vacation till June 20 at Phoenix, Ariz, The main purpose of the trip there Is to attend the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mrs. Hutchison's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hutchison of Marshalltown and Don Hutchison of Alaska were also in attendance. - o GUESTS OF MOTHER Mrs. Kathryn Mahoney was visited from before Memorial Day and a few days afterward by her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Storck, Douglas and David, Washington, Iowa. A family reunion was held at Mr. and Mrs. BobStorcks at Brltt Memorial Day and other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson, Phoenix, Ariz. On Sunday the Storcks of Washington and the Storcks of Phoenix were guests of the mother, Mrs. Lillian Storck at Garner. - o KNITTING CLUB Mrs. L. C. Faber entertained the knit and sew club Wednesday. D. A. R. MEETING The D. A. R.'s met Tuesday, June 14 at the Algona Hotel for a nag Day tea. - o - SURPRISE PARTY Llnday and Lynn Schmidt, daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. August Schmidt, gave a sur- prise party recently honoring the seventeenth birthday of Gary Lamuth. Guests were Susie Hurlburt, Swea City, Ella Gatton, Vickie Brown, Jon Clapsaddle and Randy Crail. The evening was spent dancing to records and lunch was served. - o - DAVTD HUTCHINS who teaches at Whitewater, Wise., is home Thursday, Jun« 16, 1966 Algona, (la.) Chester Schoby have as guests for two weeks their grandsons, John, 13, and Robert n, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hicks, Omaha, Nebr. MRS. PRANK VERA and Mr ft. Elizabeth Post are going to Maaon City Thursday where Mrs. Vera will have an eye check-up which has been necessary for some time. The condition has cleared up very well.
