Dancing will be indulged, in at the skating rink every evening after 9.30 o'clock. To-night the Harrisburg vocal society will hold its regular weekly meeting. Rev. J. J.

Moore, D. senior bishop of the A. M. Zion church, died on Saturday, in the 82d year of his age. There will be a meeting of the ladies of the Railroad Men's Christian association this evening at 7.30 o'clock at the association rooms.

Beginning with this evening the stores will be open until 10 o'clock, except on Saturday evenings, when they will be open until 11 o'clock. Tuesday, December 19, Paymaster the Philadelphia and Reading railroad, will be in this city to pay the employes for last month's work. The members of the Hope fire company are making preparations to give E. Levi Tittle a serenade evening after he has been married to Miss Mary Wike. On Saturday evening one of the cars belonging to the East Harrisburg company and another to the Citizens' collided at Third and Market streets, caused by the wet and slippery tracks.

Rehearsal This Evening. Every member who expects to partloipate in the presentation of "Belshazzar" on Thursday evening next is requested to be present at the rehearsal this ing in the Chestnut street school buildat 7.30 o'clock sharp. The whole cantata will be rehearsed this evening, and it is important that all the members be present and in their places. The last rehearsal will be held in the grand opera house on Wednesday night. The beautiful costumes, which will arrive to-morrow, will be donned for the first time on that night.

From the appearance of the board this morning standing room will even ba at a premium at its presentation. Professor 0. A. Ellenberger and Mr. Fred.

STORE OPEN EVERY EVENING UNTIL CHRISTMAS. A Liberal Xmas Offering BEGINNING TUESDAY MORNING AT 8 O'CLOCK. Owing to stringency in the money market and Christmas is nearing, we have decided to give every Coat customer a Christmas gift in the shape of a FREE GLOVE GIVING. The way we propose to do it is this, each customer at time of purchasing a coat will receive a coupon which entitles them to a choice Pair of Mitts, Pair of Cashmere Gloves, or Pair of Kid Gloves, which they can select at the glove counter. A WORD OF EXPLANATION.

In order to do a large Coat business it is necessary to carry a very heavy stock. Our trade is enormous and we bought heavily and sold our Great Big Share of Coats, Capes, We have yet too many Coats, Capes, Jackets, Newmarkets, Ulsters and Children's Coats.
