Attend Dealer School Two Algonans, representing Klein's Farm Supply, were among 30 who attended a recent dealer school in Mason City. They are Elton Wood and John Hagg, pictured above with Wood second and Haag third from the left. The other men in the picture are Peter Visser, left, and Dr. Wm. Byer, right, manager of the dairy feed department of Wayne Feeds. Included in the program was a tour of various area projects and service facilities. The school lasted two days at the Hanford Hotel. Ruth Benschoter Of Algona To Wed In Fall BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. Roy Bjustrom was hostess at the Wednesday bridge clut at Algona Country Club, June B. Walter Mr. and Mrs. Galen The trip will be made cars. - o - RUTH BENSCHOTER Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Benschoter, Algona, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ruth Marie, to James E. Park, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Park, Cedar Rapids. She is a graduate of Algona high school and is presently attending the University of Iowa. He graduated from Washington high school at Cedar Rapids. He also attends the University of Iowa where he is affliated with Theta Tau, engineering fraternity. A September wedding is planned. Eugene Hutchins At Seminar Eugene H. Hutchins, manager of the Federal Land Bank Associations of Algona-Forest City has been awarded a certificate from Iowa State University for successfully completing a three day management training seminar which was held June 6-8 at Ames, Iowa. More than 40 managers of Federal Land Bank Associations and Production credit Associations in Iowa attended the seminar which was sponsored by the Federal Land Bank of Omaha and the Federal Intermediate Credit SP/4, Lloyd Schilmoeller, who has been in Korea. After a month's leave he will be sent to Fort S1L Okla. - o IS CONFIRMED Mark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Olson, was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran church June 5. At dinner in his honor were Mrs. Elmer Christian, Emmons, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Songelstad, Karen and Paul, Mason City, Mr. and Mrs. Harris Enerson, Curtis and Gary, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Enerson, North wood. - o POST PONE HIKE Due to bad weather June 5, Mrs. L. L. Snyder's 4th grade Sunday School class postponed their hike at Call State Park till June 12. They met at the church at 8:45 a. m. and attended the morning service later. - o DAUGHTER GRADUATES Mary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leighton Misbach, was graduated June 10 from the University at Iowa City. Relatives in attendance were her grandmother, Mrs. Elmer Carlson, Mr. and Mrs. William Sprowl, Los Gatos, Calif., and her fiance, David Smart, Evanston, HI. All were guests here of the Misbachs.
