Formerly of Monessen Augustine M. "Augie" Moreau Behrendt, 91, formerly of Monessen, died January 31, 2008. Mrs. Behrendt was born February 29, 1916, in Monessen and moved to The Villages, from Sterling, 111., in 2004. She was an elementary school teacher and principal in Monessen and was a world traveler who loved reading and crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Louisa Moreau; her husband, Herman Carl Behrendt; and her brothers, Eugene Moreau and Gustave Moreau. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Richard L. and Janice K. Behrendt, of The Villages, a daughter, Louise Ann Kelly, of St.

Glair Shores, five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She will be interred in Belle Vernon Cemetery with arrangements made by FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY Belle Vernon. Shirley Anstandig Beachwood, Ohio Formerly of Donora Services were held Sunday, Feb.

3, 2008, in the PAUL MACIK FUNERAL HOME, 546 Thompson Donora, for Shirley Anstandig, 85, of Beachwood, Ohio, formerly of Donora. The theme of her life was elegance. She nurtured her family and friends with grace and refinement. After graduating at the top of her class at Schenley High School in Pittsburgh, she served as secretary at Beth Shalom Congregation. In 1942, she married Myer Anstandig, of Donora.

Over their 62 years together, they had three children: Karen Fox, Marcia Silberman and Dr. Jack Anstandig. Shirley also was a cherished grandmother of seven and great- grandmother of three. Many were endeared to Shirley through her voluntary community service. While living in Donora, she served as president of B'nai Brith Women, and she remained an active community volunteer throughout her life.

Shirley will be remembered for her graceful appearance, encouraging phrases, and love of music. Memorial donations may be made to: Montefiore Foundation's Resident Activities Fund, 1 D. Robert Guiser Sr. Newell Robert "Bob" Guiser 86, of Newell, went home to be with his Holy Father and loving wife in Heaven on Saturday, February 2, 2008. He was born August 5, 1921, in Coal Center, a son of the late Robert and Marjorie Miller Guiser. He was a proud veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army's 1st Infantry Division.

He saw action in North Africa, Sicily, at Omaha Beach in Normandy, and the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts during his service. Upon his return to the United States, he immediately took a job at Allied Chemical Plant in Newell, where he would retire with 30-plus years of service. Surviving are two sons, Robert Guiser Jr. and wife, Bernadette, and Eric Guiser and wife, Susan, all of Newell; two daughters, Marjorie Steiner and husband, Lynn, of Newell, and Diane Todaro and husband, the Rev.

Frank Todaro, of West Newton; 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his adoring wife, Margaret Ann Brashear Guiser; and sister, Delores Guiser Shallenberger. Leone Donora Gary G. Leone, 81, of Donora, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008, in Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township.

Mr. Leone was born in McKeesport on December 21, 1926, the son of the late Guerry and Daisy Pulgino Leone. He was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Donora and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Joyce Cherry Leone; four children, Gary Leone Jr. and wife, Debrah, and Beth Robson, all of Donora, Marylynne Hudak and husband, Timothy, and Jeananne Smith and husband, Paul, all of Perryopolis; six grandchildren, Danielle Leone, Ashley Hudak, Kristen Robson, Heather Leone, Travis Smith and Timothy Hudak Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 5, in St. Philip Neri Church of Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Donora at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Yaksick as celebrant. Family and friends are asked to gather at the church from 10 to 10:30 a.m.

Mary Overly Jeannette Mary Overly, 37, of Jeannette, died Thursday, January 31, 2008, in Mon Valley Hospital.

She was born September 28, 1970, a daughter of Ronald and Judith Valerio, of Donora. In addition to her parents, she is survived by four children, Dyana Yedlick, of Jeannette, Amanda, Michael and Hannah Overly, of Scottdale; and a brother, Christopher Valerio, of Monessen. and Caroline Mandarine Post, who survive. He was Catholic by faith and a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve from 1965 to 1971. Mr. Post enjoyed camping and doing auto repair work.

He was an employee of Matt Canestrale Construction Co. as a mechanic. Surviving is his wife, Helen Bridge Post; two sons, Tom Post and Danielle, of Charleroi, and Scott Post and Erin, of Monessen; a grandson, Jacob Post; a sister and two brothers, Patricia Vegso and husband, Dennis, Kevin Post and wife, Toni, and Timothy Post, all of Monessen; three sisters-in- law, Lorraine (Frank) Maiolini, of Monessen, Jean (John Sr.) Robinson, of Penn Hills, and Peg (Ted) Cheloc, of Cleveland, Ohio; four brothers-in-law, Joe (Mary Gene) Bridge, of Belle Vernon, Jack (Rose Ann) Bridge, of Monessen, Donald (Barbara) Bridge and Bob (Marge) Bridge, all of Belle Vernon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his sister, Carol Lynn Post; his grandparents, Frank and Lena Ferraro Mandarine and William Post; two brothers- in-law, John Robinson Sr. and Ted Cheloc; and one sister-in-law, Patti Bryner.

Tucutich Rostraver Township Dolores L. Varosky Saxon Tucutich, 77, of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township), died Sunday, February 3, 2008, at 2 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born October 1, 1930, in Donora, she was the daughter of the late John and Mildred Zielinski Varosky. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past seven years, Mrs.

Tucutich was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon, an active member of the Legion of Mary, member of Mary's Ministry of Care at St. Sebastian Church and Our Lady of the Valley Church, Donora Christian Mothers. She also was a retired case worker for the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare. She is survived by her husband, James Tucutich, to whom she was married 15 years; two daughters and a son-in- law, Janis L.

Saxon Moneymaker, of Pittsburgh, and Maureen and Angelo Gioia, of Elizabeth Township; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and John Delsandro, of Belle Vernon; five grandchildren, Vanessa, Erika, John Michael, Christopher and Sarah; and three great- grandchildren, Mikey, Hannah and Colin, who loved their Dee-Dee. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph J. Saxon, in 1987; a son, John R. Saxon; and a brother, Eugene J. Varosky.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Belle Vernon (724-9296183). A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 11:30 a.m.

Interment will take place in St. Dominic Cemetery, Donora. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Dolores Tucutich on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.

Mary Ann Zajac Formerly of Allenport Mary Ann Zajac, 90, formerly of Allenport, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 2, 2008. She was born July 16, 1917, in Monessen, a daughter of the late John and Anne Lada Zajac. She was a former member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church of Roscoe.

Survivors include two sisters, Jessie Krasnicki, of Moon Township, and Stella Imbrescia, of West Newton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ceasar and Zigmund "Ziggy" Zajac; and two sisters, Bertha Kozik Lasky and Valerie ''Violet" Zajac.
