Paul Heerboth, who served as missionary to Japan for 11 years where he was active in the Mission's evangelism, literature, and theological training program will be guest speaker at the Mission Fair at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Garner June 25-26. Rev. Heerboth is now serving as assistant executive secretary for the Missouri Synod's Board of world missions. Mission booth displays will be open to the public Saturday evening and Sunday depicting the work of our missionaries in Japan, Korea, Philippines, New Guinea, Ceylong, India, Central America, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Brazil and Argentina. Rev. Holland Halamka missionary to Taiwan will conduct a similar program the preceding week on June 18-19 at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Whlttemore. Farewell Dinner For Holdings Held At Burt BURT - Mr. and Mrs. Larry Holding and family were honored at a "Farewell Fellowship" at the Burt Presbyterian church with a pot luck supper was served at 6:30. A program honoring the Holdings followed the supper. Gifts were presented to the Holdings from their various Sunday school classes and the U. P. W. The Holdings are moving to Peru, Nebraska on Sunday, where both are enrolled at summer school at the Peru State Teachers College. - o - Sunday guests at the Lawrence Doege home were Mr. and Mrs. Vern Rafdahl and family, Titonka. Mrs. Arnold Gray, Titonka and Mrs. Orle Shipler and their children, Algona. Mrs. Jesse Harms and Mrs. Walter Campney attended final rites for Mrs. Arthur Davis held at the Laurens Lutheran church on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Batt and family, Hartland, Minn, were weekend guests at the Howard Batt home. Mrs. Richard Campney spent several days the past week with her parents In Minneapolis. Wayne and Ann Lavrenz went to Lake Mills this past week where they are visltng at the home of their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Bidnl. Ann will spend two weeks with the Bidnis. Wayne will remain for the rest of the summer and assist his uncle on the farm. The Vern Batts, Boone were weekend visitors with relatives in Burt. They were overnight guests of Mrs. Betty Miller and family. Pvt. Gary Black Is enjoying a 14 day leave of duty from the U. S. Army at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Black. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Pohlhemus, St. Louis, Mo. spent Memorial Day weekend with his mother, Mrs. Amelia Pohlhemus. Mrs. Lulu Ringsdorf, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ringsdorf, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ringsdorf all of Burt, Mr. and Mrs. Brink Shipler and Dale, Swea City and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Seefield and family, Wesley, attended commencement exercises at Garrl- gan high school, Algona on Sunday afternoon. All were guests at a reception following graduation at the Donald Ringsdorf home in honor of their son Joe a member of the graduating class. Memorial Day weekend guests at the Stanley Black home were all thier children and families. Gary Black, Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. and Miss Esther Otto, Algona. Mr. and Mrs. James Fred rickson and family, Rockwell spent the Memorial weekend at the parental E. P.
