Eileen O'Brien Gets B.A. Eileen O'Brien, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund O'Brien Whittemore, received her B. A. degree from St. Mary's College Omaha, Nebr. during the commencement exercises held in the Boys Town Music Hall on Thursday evening, May 26, at 8:00. Recently inducted into Sigma Phi Sigma, national honorary society, president of the Marian Players, and a member of Whof s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities, Eileen will teach speech and drama at St. Albert's high school, a new central Catholic high at Council Bluffs next year. Eileen is a 1962 graduate of Garrigan high school. the Ronald Christensons, Belgrade. - o - BROTHER HONORED Harlan Blanchard and Don Blanchard attended a surprise gathering of the Lions Club of Mason City Wednesday afternoon at the Hanford Hotel in honor of their brother, Gordon Blanchard, who has resigned as secretary of the club after having served in that capacity for 20 years. In recognition of his faithful service he was presented with a color television set for his home. - o - HOLD REUNION The fairily of Mrs. Maude Blanchard. and the late J. M. Blanchard held a memorial reunion in the American Legion hall Monday. There were 54 In attendance. All of the 9 children of the immediate family were present, except Mrs. John Flynn, Orlando, Fla. Marlow, vice president, Mrs. Maurice Weisbrod, secretary, Mrs. Arlowe Hanson, treasurer, Tena Jensen, historian, Mrs. Dale Wegener, Swea City, Sgt. at Arms. New board members are Mrs. Roy Jensen, Mrs. Eric Seegebarth and Mrs. Jim Long. A pot luck dinner will be held Tuesday June 14 along with cleaning the hall. June 17 is set for sending cookies for Woodward. Reg. Baptist Bible School Daily Vacation Bible School will begin at the. Regular Baptist church, corner of Elm &Wooster, this Monday, June 6, at 9 a. m. and continue each week-day morning until 11:30 through June 17. There will be classes for all ages, from 3 years old through high school, Mrs. Charles Hawkins will teach pre-school and kindergarten, Mrs. Harvey Graham and Mrs. Warren Andreasen will teach primary classes, Mrs. Earl Loss and Mrs. Jack Limbaugh will teach junior classes, and Mrs. Jerry Lewis will teach the high school class. Mrs. Gary Michaelson, Mrs. Donald Mains and Mrs. Hugo Johnson will be Always Welcome... WATCHES BY WYLER assisting. Mrs. Robert Black will assist with music, Mrs. Charles Joens will have charge of refreshments, and Pastor Charles Hawkins will be the director. Any fellow or girl is welcome to attend.
