take it all The rain which didn't let up until late in the second quarter may have helped stall attack Ball handling was difficult but then Virginia was playing with the same handicap and looking smart on attack at times Hartwell was the big man for the Cavaliers the guy who got the important yardage against the six man line Army employed most of the way He logged 93 in 23 tries for a four per try average and never quit driving until be had been hit at least three or four times Hartwell gained nearly half of the 189 yards Virginia made on the ground He had most of his success at the flanks
