Rennae is planning on attending Iowa State College at Cedar Falls this fall. UpfMr Bit Md!n*t-f Mrs. Elmer Hannisch drove to Ames Friday and brought their son, Donald, who is a student at Iowa State University, home for the weekend. Donald will spend the summer at Odessa, Iowa, at a Wild Life Reserve. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Kuecker and daughter, Barbara, Minne- apolis, spent Memorial Day weekend at the Clarence Osborns. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beaver and Kenneth were Friday evening supper guests at the home of their son and family, the James Beavers, Estherville. The occasion was the son James 1 birthday anniversary. Seek Nominees Kossufh Queen The Kossuth county Swine Improvement Association is now taking applications for Kossuth County Pork Queen Contest, reports Charles Nygaard, Association President. Girls must be single, age 17 to 21 inclusive, as of November 1, 1966. The girl must reside on a farm on which swine is raised or be the daughter of parents now actively engaged In pork production. Girls Interested should send an entry and a picture to Mr. Charles Nygaard, Wesley, by June 10. The two county winners will compete at District Pork Appreciation Day in Algona on June 29th. The District winner will compete at ftate Fair on August 22. -99- George Burcham, Harlan, remarked that "99 years doesn't seem near that long" as he celebrated his 99th birthday May 12 in Harlan.
