Forest Green way Gets Place on Harvard List Real Estate, Loans and uffice Over TEXA? BY GEO DARDEN Forest Greenway left this week for Massachusetts, where he is preparing to enter Harvard University at Cambridge under provisions of the GI educational program. Young Greenway, who previously attended Baylor University, Waco, was one of 400 selected from a group of 5,000 GIs who applied for Harvard University entry.

He will take a business economics course, when the summer session opens June 15. Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C.

Greenway, Forest was several months ago discharged from the Army after three years of service. McMurry and Betty George from Denton. Buford Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.

C. Jackson, is home from the Army. He arrived several days ago from India, China and Burma. Mr. and Mrs.

Polly Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Buford Jackson spent 1 at Dumas. Ninety-one turned out for Sunday School at the Baptist Church Sunday. The pastor was thrilled and he turned on steam in what we heard to be a jam-up good sermon.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jackson left Friday to attend the funeral of her father, John Briley, at Stephenville. Charles Miers Eivens of Fort Worth is here to spend a month in the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.

S. E. Miers. The high school annuals are very nice. Superintendent W.

W. Webb is to be congratulated on the publication of The Eagle. Mrs. L. E.

Rector and daughter, Pat, were shoppers in Sweetwater Saturday. We found out that Halsejr is a br ght young fellow and is well liked in that neck of the woods.

More than likely there will be a run-off with Mr. Rainey coming out on top. Comment No. about the Congress race for the 17th District. We predict Gib Sandefer will leaa the ticket, and Herring, Bradbury and Mrs.

Headrick no-t too far behind. Perhaps some will withdraw before the that may be the case in the race. Comment No. 4 Fisher County politics is warming up a bit. Two new candidates are for county clerk and one for commissioner of Precinct No.

N. D. Miers and son of Hobbs hac business in McCaulley last week. The peach crop in these parts is getting ripe, and canning in a big way is expected to get underway within the next few days. People are never satisfied.

A few days ago we wanted it to stop now we want rain! Jerry Rush, daughter of Mr. and rs. J. W. Rush, is visiting for a few weeks with her grandmother at Mansfield, Tarrant County.
