Gibbs McAdoo California and Warren Austin Vermont: Rear-Admiral Cary Grayson 8 Navy General Samuel Mc-Roberts banker George Peery Governor of Virginia: Henry Stevens Jr past national commander of the American Legion Christian Gauss dean Princeton University Edwin Hubble director Mt Wilson Observatory and Lowell Thomas author Prior to 1900 there was the old Saturday Night Club at Richmond College but In November of 1901 this group became the first chapter of Bigma Phi Epsilon Hie founding fathers of this first 8 lodge were Ciuter Ashton Jenkins Benjamin Donald Gaw William Hugh Carter William Andrew Wallace Thomas Temple Wright and William Lazell Phillips Later spread over Virginia and the nation Chapters were established In the Old Dominion State as follows: Virginia College of Medicine 1902 Roanoke College 1903 College of William and Mary 1904 Washington and Lee 1906 Ran-doIph-Macon 1908 University of Virginia 1907 and Virginia Military Institute 1908 As this sixth social frat to
