Head, President of the National Council, Boy Scouts of America, who is to be the principal speaker at 2:00 P. April 6, and guest of honor at the Annual Meeting of the Chisholm Trail Council, will come to Abilene direct from San Antonio probably accompanied by W. J. Behrens. Mr.

Head is now serving his eighth year as President of the National Council Boy Scouts of America. He has been Chairman of the National Week Committee for many years. This year for the first time the movement has been changed to include also activities for girls and is being called National Youth Week. He has been interested for years in the YMCA work and is a member of the Metropolitan Board of Directors of the organization. This is testimony to the unusual interest he takes in the youth of America.

Mr. Head introduced President Franklin D. Roosevelt to the Boy Scouts of America during the radio program for the Scouts held in February for the Anniversary Celebration of Scouting. In addition to the life insurance activities as President of the General American Life Insurance Company, Mr. Head has been active in banking throughout his life in Omaha, Chicago, and New York.

He was president of the American Association during 1923-24. The meeting in Abilene is expected to attract Scout Executives from all nearby towns who will want to hear the message of President Head to all Scouts, Regional Executive J. P. Fitch will lead in the discussion of several subjects including: Sustaining Membership Plan of Financing Area the Plan of Adult Registrations has been Adopted by the National Council Boy Scouts of and of the Ten Year Several new phases of Scouting will be introduced including the introduction of the first Sea Scout Unit ever to be organized in the Chisholm Trail Council. This Sea Scout Patrol will be in Uniform.

Every citizen interested in the Boy Scout movement is invited to attend this Annual Meeting of Scouts. Special invitation is given to all registered Scouters and all laymen who are or have been actively engaged in Scouting.
