The bill by Rebresentative A Cole of Walker, directing the drainage commission to obtain data as to state lands that will be benefited by drainage, and to plan a comprehensive system of drainage ditches for all state lands, has been recommended to pass by the house committee on drainage. The committee decided to reduce the appropriation for the work from $25,000 to $15,000, inserting a provision allowing the drainage commission to select the localities for which drainage systems shall be planned, in case the appropriation is not sufficient to meet the cost of collecting information and planning drainage systems for all the state lands.

The committee will also recom mend for passage the bills by Representative O. E. Ekman of Roseau county, one appropriating $75,000 a year for two years for the construction of state drainage ditches, and the other redrafting the rate drainage commission law. Letter to Mr. W.

Ross, Bemidji, Minn Dear Sir- Messrs Lachman Edelin, Grafton, W. Va hadIS1 been selling a paint, which they thought well of and this had occurred. They sold a customer 18 gallons of it to paint his house A few years later, they sold the same man Devoe lead and zinc, the same number of gallons to paint the same house. He had seven gallons left. The point of the tale is 11 gallons Devoe paints an 18 gallon house.

Of course, that isn't all. Why does 11 gallons Devoe go as far as 18 gallons of the other paint? Because it is all true, no sham, and full measure. But that isn't ail. Devoe lasts longer No, no you haven't got to wait ten years to iind that out. Ten thousand people know it.

We've got their names. Our agents know them they think a heap of Devoe There's no difficulty in showing your townspeo pie what to expect of Devoe. $10 will paint a $15 house and the paint'11 last twice as long. Yours truly F. W.

DEVOE Co 88 New York and Chicago Deafness Cannot Be Cared by local applications, as they can not reach the diseased portion of the ear. There is only one way to cure deafness, and that is by constitutional remedies Deafness is caused by an inflamed condition of the mucous lining of the Eustachian tube. When this tube is inflamed you have a rumbling sound or imperfect hearing and when it is entirely closed, deafness is the result, and unless the inflammation can be taken out and this tube restored to its normal condition, hearing will be destroyed forever nine cases out of ten are caused by catarrh, which is nothing but an inflamed condition of the mucous surfaces. We will give one hundred dollars for any case of deafness (caused by catarrh) that can not be cured by Hall's Catarrh Care. J.
