The chain's sales in 1981 topped $260 million. The prescription department at Hook's is very important. It represents 30 percent of the firm's business, nearly twice the national average. Ten of Hook's top 20 officers are registered pharmacists, including the chairman and president.

Hook's 267 stores are located in some 131 Indiana communities, seven in Illinois and seven in Ohio. The company opens an average of 12-14 stores each year. ViUwlS COUPS1! VALUABLE COUFSj nn QJ3.
