It should never come into contact with the artwork.

There are several types of glazing material available: Clear glass and non-protective glass protect the artwork from insects and dust but do not block damaging ultraviolet light. Conservation glazing does provide high-quality ultraviolet filtering and is available in both glass and acrylic. Acrylic sheeting weighs less than glass and, therefore, is recommended for very large pieces or when breakage is a concern. Rodvelt Framing is now a dealer for Mill Pond Press. Prints by Robert Bateman, Carl Brenders, Terry Isaacs, and other Mill Pond artists are now in stock.
