Though it's hard to imagine David Hasselhoff with a shaved head toting a lollipop and drawling "Who loves ya baby?" Er isn't it? CASUALTY (BBC1 805pm) Things are really hotting up for Holby nurse Ash As actor Patrick Robinson gets ready to quit the long-running medical series next month his alter-ego is suffering from a racial attack but this time it's from an unexpected quarter -his own father With wedding bells about to ring for Ash and Laura the long-suffering Casualty regular comes under fire for even thinking about walking up the aisle with a 'white woman" Robinson just can't escape controversial roles The talented actor was the RSC's first black Romeo and he has even taken a starring role in a new film aimed at stamping out racism But despite leaving Britain's most famous accident and emergency department Patrick still has a great deal of fondness for his small-screen character "People do seem to like Ash" says the 32-year-old star "He is a positive role model for young black kids I get a lot of feedback on that He also strikes a chord with real nurses a lot of professionals have praised him" 540 Hunger for Faith (R) (S) 600 Business Breakfast 700 BBC Breakfast News (C) 910 The Morning on BBC1: Kilroy (S) 1000 News Weather (C) 1005 Can't Cook Won't Cook 1030 Good Morning with Anne and Nick (S) 1200 News Weather (C) 1205 Pebble Mill Special (S) 1250 Regional News Weather 100 News (C) Weather L30 Neighbours Danni and Malcolm feel the pain of separation (C) (S) 150 Banacek 305 Timekeepers (S) 330 Children's BBC: The Littlest Pet Shop 350 Look Sharp! All in all it's about time this show depended a little less on taking the mickey out of guests and a little more on the extraordinary comedy writing talents of it's founders you know like it used to 725 News Weather 730 ChHdran's BBC: SuperTed (R) 735 The Artbox Bunch (S) 745 Iznogoud Animation (S) 805 WHty Fog (C) (S) 830 The New Adventures of Superman (R) (C) (S) 915 Live and Kicking East 17 meet their fans (S) 1212 Weather 1215 Grandstand Including at 1220 Football Focus 1255 Racing from Ayr 110 News 120 Racing 140 Skiing: The men's downhill from Sestriere 155 Racing 210 Ice Skating: The ladies' free programme at the European Championships 300 Rugby League: Castleford St Helens in the Challenge Cup Live coverage 350 Football Half-times 400 Rugby League 440 Final Score Times may vary 515 News Weather (C) 525 Regional News and Sport 535 Dad's Army The platoon sets sail (R) (C) 605 Jim Davidson's Generation Game With dance troupe Street Heat 700 Noel's House Party Fun and games from Crinkley Bottom (S) 750 The National Lottery Live With Dale Winton 805 Casualty Mike stuns his colleagues with a snap decision (C) (S) 855 News and Sport (C) 914 National Lottery Update 915 A Nightmare in the Daylight (1992) Thriller starring Christopher Reeve and Jaclyn Smith (C) (S) 1045 Match of the Day: The Road to Wembley Highlights from three of today's fourth-round ties 1155 Gator (1976) Action adventure starring Burt Reynolds and Lauren Hutton 150 Weather 155 Close 500 4-Tel on View 605 Early Morning 1000 Football Crazy (R) (T) (S) 1100 Gazetta Football Italia 1200 The Late Late Show (S) 1255 Steaming Passions (R) I55 Racing from Cheltenham and Doncaster Races at 205 220 240 255 310 330 345 and 405 435 Dr Seuss on the Loose A trio of tales (R) 505 Brookside Omnibus Katie discovers she has a mystery admirer (T) (S) 630 Right to Reply Viewers speak out (T) (S) 700 News Weather 710 A Week in Politics Vincent Hanna and Andrew Rawnsley's irreverent review of the week's political events 800 Divine Magic How magic touched every aspect of life in ancient Egypt playing a major part in the ritual of mummification (T) 900 Auf Wiedersehert Pet The lads stop work when the Manor turns out to be a listed building and spend their free time in the local village Shown previously on ITV (T) 1005 Father Ted Bumbling priest Father Ted enters a lookalike contest with a difference Comedy with Dermot Morgan (R) (T) 1035 Eurotrash Reports from around the Continent with Jean-Paul Gaultier (R) (S) II10 The White Room Mark Radcliffe introduces performances by Oasis The Pretenders The Smashing Pumpkins Definition of Sound Lush BT and Joan Osbourne (S) 1210 Late Licence Introduction 1211 The Girlie Show (R) (S) 100 The Legend of the Four Kings (S) 155 Twilight Zone (S) 220 Baadasss TV (R) (S) 250 Big Girl's Blouse 315 Paris (R) (S) 345 Close SKY ONE 70am Undun 100 Ghoul-Lashed 120noon Wrestling: Mania 10 The Hit Mix 20 Teech 230 Family Ties 30 One West Waikiki 40 Kung Fu: The Legend Continues 50 The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles 60 Wrestling: Superstars 70 Sliders 80 Unsolved Mysteries 90 Cops 930 The Serial Killers 100 Saturday Night Sunday Morning 1030 Revelations 110 The Movie Show From the film world 1 130 Forever Knight 1230am WKRP in Cincinnati 10 Saturday Night Live 20 Hit Mix Long Play SKY MOVIES 60am Sirocco (1951) (bw) 80 Gigi (1958) 100 And Then There Was One (1994) 120noon Super Mario Bros (1993) (S) 20 MacShayne: Winner Takes All (1994) 330 Absent Without Leave (1992) (S) 525 Revenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds in Love (1994) 70 Super Mario Bros (1993) (S) 90 Murder One 100 A Perfect World (1993) (S) 1220am Midnight Confessions (1993) 150 Used People (1992) (S) 345 Shootfighter (1993) THE MOVIE CHANNEL 60am Yogi Bear and the Invasion of the Space Bears 80 We're Back! her home with him The man who's turned Wexford into a household name married his co-star Louie Ramsay in what Ruth Rendell describes as the "only romance she's ever created" The couple first met more than 40 years ago but they'd never been anything more than workmates until fate brought them together a year after filming the last series "We were visiting California but independent of each other" says Louie "I happened to be leaving the hotel the day before George was arriving to stay there so I left him a welcoming note Then when we got back to the UK George called to invite me along to one of the charity occasions he attends" With the blessing of George's five daughters and Louie's son Matthew the friendship blossomed into romance and they wed in September 1993 In the first episode of this new mystery a 22-year-old graduate disappears and Wexford starts to probe prejudices in the market town of Kingsmarkham The case is complicated by an unexpected find the body of a woman who was the last person to see the victim alive FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE (BBC2 1115pm) Soccer fans will be tuning in to catch Danny Baker's appearance on this week's Fantasy Football League All eager to see
