Tears ago I began to wonder at the great number of my own friends and neighbor who were always complaining 'and doetorlngi without ever aeeminar to get any better. Both working men and their wives were frequently all tired out In the evening, and a great many were weak, nervous and One had pains In the back and thought he had kidney trouble. Another had pains around the heart.

palpitations and dizziness, and wai sura he whs suffering from heart disease. Bt til others had severe headaches, floating spots before the ayes, tender snots along the enlne rnnf1 VMlety 01 larmlDlf For years I made 4 special study of this condition, eonp.ultlna; a great number of physicians and chemists. An immense number of Investigations by physicians all over the country showed that three people out of every four you meet lack 100 Iron In their blood. Lack of iron in the blood la the greatest of all devitalizing weaknesses. It is the Iron in your blood that enables you to get tho nourishment out of your food.

Without iron, nothing you eat does you any good. Tour heart, lungs and kidneys and all your vital organs get their nourishment from the blond stream, and when the blood lacks Iron and- is thin, pale and you may suffer from the symptoms of a great number of diseases when the real and true cause of all your trouble a lack of iron in the In the old days people often took metallic Iron, which some physicians claim is not absorbed at all. In compounding Nuxnted Iron I use the newer form of Iron, which is like the Iron In your blood and like the iron In spinach, lentils and apples. Unlike the older forms ef iron, if will not injure the teeth nor disturh the stomach, and it Is ready for almost immediate absorption and assimilation by tha blood. It is the people whose blood is rich In Iron who possess rrent strength, force and energy.

If you are not strong or well you owe -It to yourself to inake the following teat: -Se how long you can work or how far you can walk without becoming tired. Next take two S-grain tablets of Nuxatcd Iron three times a day after meals for two weeks-then test your strength again and See how much you have gained. An astonishing numbt of nervous, run-down people who were ailing all the while, have greatly improved their health and increased their strength, energy and endurance simply by taking this newer form of Iren MARY MULROONEY and JAMES MULROONEY, daughter and gpzndson, respectively, of Josiah Rose, whose farm, now Hopkinstown, has been hsld practically intact since 1864 ana is now to be subdivided into city homesites. The old farm has been held almost intact since 1864, according to Lawrence Block, who has charge of Hopkinstown development for the California Subdivision Company. Mrs. Mulrooney inherited it from her father and has continued to live upon It until now. A portion of the farm is still in orchard and delicious fruits are grown there.

MEMORIES KEEN. While the Intensely Interesting historic value of the East Side is generally lost sight of through attention being directed to its wonderful present "growth and development, the Muirooneys have keen recollections of the days when the port of San Antonio, pear the foot of Thirteenth avenue, was the main shipping point for Alameda county. According to Mrs. Mulrooney, who has Uved here since girlhood, Hopkinstown was formerly known as a part of Fruitvale, which also included what is now Dimond, the thriving business center to the west of Hopkinstown. The Dimond family lived on a farm embracing the present corner of Fruitvale avenue and Hopkins street, and 1M said that Dlmood gave the property for a postofflce at this locality with the understanding that it should bear this name.

In those days San Antonio was the Eastbay metropolis.
