About three miles south of Round Top is Redwood peak (1(08 feet, the fourth highest peak In neighborhood, which with -Kound Top, Grisucly peak and Bald peak constitute the "big four" of the Eastbay hills.

While almost 1,50 ieet lower than Hound Top, Redwood peak being forest covered more interesting to the hiker, although the view from the several summits Is not as satisfactory aa from fhe grass covered peak to the north. "THE RIGHTS." Redwood peak will prove of special interest to Kastbay people because of the proximity of the Joaquin Miller estate, called "The lights." Vhlch is now a part of Oakland's fast extending park aya-r -lew. REDWOOD CANYOX LITRES. Perhaps the finest possible hike within fifteen miles of Oakland includes Redwood canyon, which San Lcandro creek tumbles, and near head of which is Kastport.

Take electric cars to Leandro. The walk to the lake and along Its shores is sure to he Stamped one of the finest posxible.

Still farther south the San Lcandro hills beckon with many a pretty hike over the hills Into netvly discovered ravines and canyons.
