Philip Bigley of Viroqua, financial advisor and past grand worthy president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, will, visit the Logan Aerie 2168 at 8 p.m. Thursday as part of his national tour, according to Wayne Grove, worthy president of the Logan Aerie. Logan was selected as one of stops because of the outstanding participation in various projects, including contributions to cancer and heart fund projects and its membership growth. Bigley was grand worthy president in 1959-60, was former president of the Wisconsin Aerie, and founder and worthy president of his home aerie at Viroqua.

He has served as chairman of the board of grand trustees and national chairman of Home on the Range committee, and sparked a successful fund-raising campaign for Eagles hall at Sentinel Butte, N.D. He was appointed national campaign chairman for the fund-raising program for High Sky Girls Ranch in Midland, Texas. Proceeds will be used by the Eagles to build a second dormitory at the ranch. Bigley represented the Eagles BUILDS CHARACTER glad to join in celebrating National 4-11 Club Week. We proudly salute and the local leaders who give freely of their time and talents.

Middletown Sells Bonds To Finance Armco Expansion The city of Middletown, Ohio, has sold worth of tax-exempt bonds to help finance a $350-million expansion program for the Armco Steel Corp. This was the largest bond issue exempt from federal income taxes that has been sold to finance municipally-owned facilities for private industry. The bonds, priced to give investors yields up to 4.5 per cent, were reported completely sold out.

Sunday to Rt. 278, just off Rt. 595, to put out a gas fire ignited by an oil well heating tank. At 2:09 p.m. Sunday, firemen were called to Rt.

93, three miles north of Logan, where a fire had been reported. According to the report, the Bremen fire department had given permission for a sludge pit to be burned. Slates Meet At Athens The regular meeting of Division 14, Licensed Practical Nurses Association of Ohio, will be held at Kimes Convalescent Center, Athens, at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Miss Maybelle Bartlett, executive director of the Athens County Cancer Society, will present a film, Management of the Patient with Dr. Phillip Kinnard of Athens will be the speaker. The film was made at Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases, New York, N.Y., with staff and patients participating.

It shows in detail the nursing procedures used when patients experience laryngectomy, tracheotomy, colostomy or cystectomy. Mrs. Edith S. Wolf, director of nursing education at the hospital, was consultant for the film. She was assisted by Miss Helen Meekin of the visiting nurse service of New York.

Professional nurses, licensed practical nurses, public health nurses and staff members of nursing homes are urged to attend.
