Shastree is an A. A. U. fellowship student currently working on her degree in social work at Ohio State University. Columbus.

She received her master of arts degree from the University of Bombay in 1947 and a degree in teaching in 1948. She taught for two years in a high school for girls before assuming the position of Deputy Superintendent in an industrial school for delinquent boys and was the first woman appointed to an administrative post. Following this, Mrs. Shastree served as deputy superintendent of a Detention Home for delinquent girls until she cnme to the United States. Mrs.

Although the Hawns have missed having many American articles in Bolivia they have been fortunate to find a modern home there.
