Area death Lee M. Williams CHARLESTON, Lee Williams, 72, of Charleston died at 2 p.m. Saturday in Charleston Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in HarperSwickard Funeral Home with Rev.

Brace Johnson officiating. Burial a will be in Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.

today at the funeral home by Charleston Masonic Lodge 35, AF AM. Mr. Williams was born in Warren County. April 3, 1901, the son of Charles and Elsie White Williams. He married Pearl Hank: She survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Miss Lois Jean Williams of Charleston: a son, Carl Wayne Williams of Mahomet; and two grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death. Mr. Williams was chief bailiff at the Coles County courthouse and had previously operated confectionary stores in the area. He had also been a salesman for the International Harvester Co.

Mrs. Helen Clem JEWETT, Ill. Mrs. Helen Greeson Clem, 68, of Prescott, formerly of Jewett, died at 1 a.m. Friday in Prescott.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Jewett Christian Church. Burial will be in Toledo Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Bishop Funeral Home, Greenup.

Mrs. Clein was born June 3, 1905, in Jewett, the daughter of Samuel and Estella Armer Greeson. She married Lowell H. Clem. He survives.

Also surviving are a son, Orell of Bonita, Calif. two daughters, Mrs. Annette Smith of Anaheim, and Mrs. Patricia Hoffman of Redwood, six sisters, Mrs. Belle Young.

Besides her sister, she leaves four brothers, Louis Ruether of Minneapolis, and Otto, Albert and Jacob Ruether, all of Effingham; and two other sisters, Mrs. Helen Mackey and Mrs. Anna Struck, both of Newburg, Wis. Services held for Mrs. Helen Hance PARIS, Ill.

Graveside services for Mrs. Leonard! (Helen) Hance, mother of Mrs. Ruby Trimble of Hindsboro. were held at 10 a.m. today in Fairfield Cemetery, north of Newman.

Joines Funeral Home, Newman, was in charge. Mrs. Hance, 73. formerly of Newman, died Friday evening in Paris Community Hospital. She was born in Logan, the daughter of Elmer and Vera Patrick Wheeler.

She married Leonard Hance, who died in 1965. Surviving are one other daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Nolan of Memphis, a son, Robert Trimble of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Donahue of Arlington Heights and Mrs. Mary Farver of Miami Beach, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Rentschler hired for Macon post Frank E. Rentschler, 57. of Mattoon has been hired as a civil engineer for the Macon County Highway department. Rentschler currently is an employe of Upchurch Associates, a Mattoon consulting engineering firm. He will assume his position Dec.
