(Part one of three parts) By Fred Waggoner The above statement is not made without much study and examination, nor without the willingness on the part of this writer to affirm it in public debate. We have reached this conclusion after ascertaining the following facts: I.

The does not have Christian leadership, i.e. its leaders do not believe the Gospel, which is the good news that Christ died for our atonement, was buried, and arose the third day for our justification, 1 Cor. Many of tho front men of this movement have cone on record not only denying, but ridiculing the doctrines that are the only real basis for Christianity, e.g. the Virgin Birth, miracles, the resurrection, and final judgment. The and many other disciples in their day were called Christians because they were eyewitnesss (2 Pet 1:16) to the baptism, miracles, transfiguration, resurrection, etc.

that proclaimed the Deity of Jesus. And all other CHRISTIANS have become such by believing their testimony as set forth in the New Testament Scriptures. No movement led by doubtful skeptics can be called a Christian movement. And no church ly organization whose and overseers deny the very foundational truths of Christ Himself can be truthfully called The United Church of Christ.
