MERRICOURT "rotber of Late Austin T. 0 gan Passes in Montana Milton Called word has been received here of death of Arthur C. Logan, brother of the late Austin Logan of Bismarck, His death occurred Monday in the family home in Billings, Mont. Mr. Logan had been in failing health since last spring.

Coming west from his nntal state. Connecticut, when about- 30 years of age, Mr. Logan located In Bis-iarck and was a professor in the local schools in 18S2. After two residence in this city he to Miles City and later to Billings, where he had lived for a number of years. He was worshipful grand master of the Masonic lodge of Montana in 1886 and illustrious potentate of Algeria temple, Mystic Shrine, in 1S93.

He also was superintendent of public instruction in Montana territory from 1886 to ISS'J. Mr. Logan was in his 64th year. The only surviving member of the family is Mrs. who her fcoiiie ffith Mrs.

Austin Logan In Second street. Only four weeks Austin-Logan passed away. At the time of his death the brother in Montana was too ill to come to Bismarck to attend the funeral. Pioneer Dies in Idaho, Word has been received here of the death of O. S.

Goff, a pioneer settler of Bismarck, which occurred in the fani ily home in Boise City, Idaho, October 17. Mr. Goff was one of the best known and most highly respected citizens of the Capital City, where he located in 1874. He held tho distinction of being the first photographer of Bismarck. HP first located at old Fort Lincoln but later moved to Bismarck, where he built the Dakota block and until recently was part owner of the building.
