Rainer sailed from New York July 1 to Holland where he spent a month visiting a Dutch family and another month touring the country. The local ambassador, who is 19, was the youngest person ever to visit a foreign country under the Experiment in International Living project. Most of the ambassadors were between 2 and 25 years of age, and some were as old as 29.

Rainer said he felt the re-- sponse of younger people in Lubbock to the competition for community ambassadors reflected the emphasis on youth in this area. Pleased With Experiment He expressed satisfaction with the community ambassador experiment, and indicated that Lubbock would benefit by enlarging the project in future years. "I feel this experiment has been good for the community, bcause they have concentrated part of their efforts on international good will," he said. "The ambassador can clear up some misconceptions about Europe and Europeans," he added, Rainer also said the experiment would benefit Holland. "The Dutch have gotten a distorted impression of our country from the tourists, who are the only Americans with whom they have been in contact," he stated.
