a tryout camp at Johnson County Community College Blando invited him to a tryout camp at Royals Stadium did pretty Well Shif- flett said that they would wait until the end of my senior year at Emporia That same night the Seattle Mariners called and offered him a contract Shifflett declined stating he wanted to finish school He signed a Class A contract with the Royals this summer Shifflett intends
