PHONE EV NUMBER 5-2109 New York's Fair SOCIETY PHONE 5-2100 Wondrous stirrings are soon to come to the Flushing Meadows where the disillusioned "World of Tomorrow" has been sleeping since what seems only yesterday.

The tomorrow of the New York World's Fair of 1939 was a dark one. War engulfed Europe before the flittering exposition had run through its first season. Hopes crumbled, and with them most of the lovely structures where millions thought they had caught a glimpse of better living for all in a world at peace. The reclaimed marshes become Flushing Meadows Park, a quit haven for songbirds and nostalgic returners who found little in its desolate reaches to remind them of the "World of that had seemed to die aborning. Now there is to be another New York World Fair, in 1964.

and in Flushing BLONDIE Meadows Park Conduits and mains buried and nearly forgotten will be uncovered and tapped. A new phoenix will rise from sunken foundations and weed- covered acres, where once again power will throb, beauty will gleam and promise will beckon. New York, with its talent for showmanship, superlatives and raising the billion dollars that will be needed, is going to stage it. Men and women from all oveff the world will pour their ingenuity and resources of hope and confidence into it, and its theme will be "Peace Through The better, brighter "World of sleeps in Flushing Meadows Park and the hearts of all men of good will, but it does not die.
