MONROE (LA.) MORNING WORLD JUNE 21, 1953 Elizabeth Ann Davidson Becomes Bride Miss Elizabeth Ann Davidson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hershal J. Davidson, of Lake Providence, became the bride of John Hopkins, son of Mrs. H.

A. West, Saturday, June 13, at 1:30 p.m., in a quiet ceremony at the Greenville, Baptist pastorium, with the Rev. Perry Plaxten officiating. The bride wore a midsummer sleeveless model of whisper blue nubbed orlon. The neckline was framed with a deep square collar, and the bodice tastened with self covered buttons.

Bias self stripes accented the fullness of the skirt. The accessories in white were linen pumps, capulet fronted with blue and yellow flowers, and shoulder corsage of orchids with purple throat. The only attendant was her sister, Mis3 Linda Davidson, who wore a sleeveless model of black and white voile with Peter Pan collar and black bone buttons fronting the bodice. Her accessories were in white and a shoulder corsage of pink asters complet- 1 ed the attire. The bridegroom had his twin brother, George Hopkins as his attendant.

In Greenville for the wedding were mothers of the bride and groom, and Miss Evelyn Smilow. The bride was graduated from Lake Providence High School, was Miss East Carroll of 1952, and is employed at the local telephone office. Girl Scout News The bride groom was graduated from Lake Providence High, attended Northeast Junior College. Booneville, and is employed with the East Carroll Parish Soil Conservation Co. They will make their home with the parents for the present.

Jake Humble. as matron of honor. Her dress was beige lace and linen. Her corsage was of pink carnations. Mr.

Bill Humble served the groom as best man. The mother, Mrs. Bird, was wearing a gown of slate blue lace with white accessories for her Her corsage was of pink carnations. The mother, Mrs. Boyd, was attired in a dusty rose nylon mesh model with white acces- I sorie.i and a white gladioli corsage.

Immediately following the ceremony. a reception was held for the wedding party and guests at the home of Mrs. Alma S. Hale. The table was covered with a lace cloth and centered with a low crystal bowl filled with white gladioli, daises and fern.

Assisting with the serving were Miss Elizabeth Heck, Miss Ann Finley, Miss Louise Humble, Miss Nelda Nolan and Miss Chelse Wright. White gladioli and shasta daisies were used throughout the reception rooms. For the wedding trip, the bride chose a blue suit with blue and white rccessories and a corsage from her bouquet. The couple will be at home in Calhoun following a brief wedding trip through the Ozarks. Mrs.

Prentiss Boyd was hostess at a rehearsal supper on Saturday night before the wedding. Martha Riser, Katie Young, Martha Higgins, and Nancy Martin, representing all the classes, are the girls who posed for the picturb. Register at the office, as the class is almost full. it seems that more girls are tak-. ing swimming lessons this year than ever before. No wonder the girls seem to be enjoying the class to the fullest! Ole Man River played hob with camping plans when littl" Davis Creek backed up across the little road into camp right at the gate.
